Costs of the Death Penalty page 10The death penalty absorbs huge amounts of money. Millions of dollars are spent on afew people with almost no control over the outcome. It is true that you cannot put aprice on justice. But you can put a price on more police on the streets, better lighting incrime areas, job and education programs, or even prison cells.
