Powerful • Secure • Reliable • ScalableDigital TETRA Infrastructure SystemFor Voice and Data Land Mobile Radio CommunicationsTrunked UHF and 800 MHz

PowerTrunk TETRA andTETRA-Interoperable D-LMRNew to North America — Proven worldwidePowerTrunk TMInc. is proud to introduce our TETRA land mobile radio solution to the NorthAmerican market — the same solution we have deployed in utilities, oil and gas, public safetyand transportation networks around the world for over ten years. The PowerTrunk-T Infrastructure System for TETRA land mobile radio networksdelivers excellent coverage, security and reliability in a platform designed for efficient implementationand cost-effective scalability. Throughout the system our engineering exceedsstandard requirements where it matters most. Our TETRA system is 100% end-to-end IP. You can build a secure and reliable network withdistributed switching, distributed intelligence and complete fault-tolerant redundancy —and lower network costs by deploying standard equipment. To comply with FCC emission masks and occupied bandwidth limits in the United States,PowerTrunk-T is offered in two versions: (1) ETSI standard TETRA for use specifically in FCCauthorizedbands, and (2) FCC Part 90 certified TETRA-Interoperable D-LMR (TI D-LMR) forbands with more restrictive limits in which ETSI standard TETRA is not authorized. Bothversions are fully interoperable and compliant with official TETRA Interoperability Profile(TIP) certification requirements, as managed and monitored by the TETRA + Critical CommunicationsAssociation (TCCA). Only a software change, in accordance with FCC authorizedprocedures, is required to convert from TI D-LMR to ETSI TETRA.For implementations in Canada, the ETSI standard TETRA version of PowerTrunk-T can bedeployed without any restrictions in all environments.Interoperability requirements and restrictions can vary depending on frequency subband. Please contact your local PowerTrunk representative for specific information regardinginteroperability requirements, mutual aid channels and NPSPAC channel usage.Choose PowerTrunk-T for its IP architecture, optimized coverage, high level of security, unmatched reliability and enhanced data capabilities.

Solutions Optimized for Your IndustryUtilities Ready■ Optimized to allow greater data management efficiency for telemetry measurement, and remote management.■ Native IP data connectivity means you can easily integrate SCADA systems.■ Enables the highest density of measurement points for power management utilities due to support of three secondarycontrol channels and TETRA’s 4 time-slot TDMA structure.■ Synchronous Data Manager (SDM) allows efficient and fast polling of measurement units.■ Real-time alarms when a measurement unit fails will minimize your equipment downtime.Mission-Critical Ready■ Authentication, air interface encryption, end-to-end encryption and protection against interferences provide thehighest degree of security.■ Key Management Center generates true random number encryption keys using approved FIPS methods.■ Exceptional group communications include dynamic group assignments.■ Supports direct mode communication between radios outside the coverage area.■ Allows simultaneous voice communications and AVL without requiring a dedicated data network.■ Poll your entire fleet of subscriber units for GPS position in a matter of seconds with our Synchronous Data ManagerTransportation Ready■ Specialized on-board radio communication units easily integrate with the infrastructure system and the computeraided dispatch to:• Enable voice communications between the on-board unit and control center.• Manage and control transport system functions to determine real-time condition of the fleet and their status.• Automate functions such as doors openings, PA announcements and voice interconnection based on alarm triggers.■ Customize drivers’ consoles to your voice and data requirements.

Complete Digital TETRA Infrastructure SystemPowerTrunk-T BSRThe Base Station/Repeater is a modular unit that is easy to deploy and maintain. Each plug-andplaymodule contains different functional blocks and provides specific alarms to minimize in-fieldrepair time. Provides outstanding RF performance via 75 W output power, triple diversity option andhighest sensitivity levels that boost your TETRA network coverage.PowerTrunk-T CNCThe Central Node Controller provides the intelligence and processing capability for the trunkingsystem. It manages call processing, users’ configurations, and real-time locations inside thenetwork. These features ensure fast call setup, seamless roaming, and automatic switchover to aredundant unit in case of failure. The hardware is an industrial-grade, high-performance computerusing a real-time operating system.PowerTrunk-T NMSThe Network Management System is based on a client/server networking architecture. Datacollection and management are distributed across multiple client workstations through standardIP protocols. Designed according to the FCAPS model, the PowerTrunk-T NMS can be configuredfor different access privileges to permit separate technical and operational management. The NMSallows multiple agencies to share the network, yet isolates each agency’s subscriber management.PowerTrunk-T LSCThe Local Site Controller maintains communication with the Central Node Controller and managesthe repeater units in case the link with the CNC is lost. Should that happen, the LSC provides apowerful fallback operation by maintaining all trunking functionality as a single site.PowerTrunk-T ConnectThe Connect Module provides an interface for interoperability with other systems such as mutual-aidchannels, analog systems, or legacy trunking systems. It is also the VoIP gateway for the CAD system:one module supports up to 10 dispatch consoles and 20 radio interfaces. Additional modules can beinterconnected to increase capacity.Computer AidedDispatchPowerTrunk-TSystem Central NodePowerTrunk-TSite Base StationPowerTrunk-TCentral NodeControllerPowerTrunk-TNetworkManagement SystemMAMPABX/PSTNSCADAAVLFirewallSite NodeInterfaceEthernet SwitchPowerTrunk-TConnectTelephoneGatewayPowerTrunk-TSite Base StationPowerTrunk-TLocal SiteControllerMAMMaster RouterEthernet SwitchNetworkManagement ClientT1V.35EthernetIP BackboneSite RouterSite NodeInterfacePowerTrunk-TBSR 1...PowerTrunk-TBSR 32PowerTrunk-TSite Base StationwithLegacy BackboneT1V.35Ethernet
