The retractor straddles the ischialramus. After dislocation of the hip and debridement of the capsule, retractorsare placed anteriorly and superiorly. The BusenkellPosterior Hip Retractor is then slipped along the posterior border of the ischiumwith the fl ange retracting the postero-inferior soft tissue mass.
