FOR AN OUTDOOR CEREMONY:For the outdoor ceremony, graduates will report to the Fine Arts Auditorium no later than3:15 p.m. and the procession will begin promptly at 4:10 p.m.OUTDOOR CEREMONY TICKETS: Each Senior will be given seven (7) tickets forthe outdoor ceremony.Written requests for additional tickets may be directed to Mr. DiEugenio and will beconsidered. Please make your request for additional outdoor tickets by Thursday,June 7. You will be notified if your request for additional tickets cannot be honored.IF WE MUST HAVE AN INDOOR CEREMONY:In the event of inclement weather, the graduation ceremony will be held in the Fine ArtsAuditorium.If your name begins with A – K:Graduates must report to the Clayton gymnasium no later than 3:15 p.m. for the 4:30ceremony and the procession will begin promptly at 4:10 p.m.If your name begins with L – Z:Graduates must report to the Clayton gymnasium no later than 5:30 p.m. for the 7:00ceremony and the procession will begin promptly at 6:40 p.m.INDOOR CEREMONY TICKETS: Based on the auditorium occupant capacity andadherence to fire codes, each graduate will receive only four (4) tickets for the insideceremony, with no provision for extra tickets.Only guests with auditorium tickets will be permitted to enter the building through theFine Arts entrance.Other invited guests may view the indoor ceremony via video feed in several designatedclassrooms in the Clayton Wing of the school. Three (3) tickets for this simulcast will beprovided to the graduates for simulcast admission.Guests viewing the ceremony in the Clayton Wing must enter through the Clayton Wingentrance. They will not be permitted to enter through the Fine Arts entrance.GRADUATION PRACTICE:Practice for the graduation ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 13, and Thursday, June 14.Students must report to homeroom first for attendance. Those students who do not have ahomeroom assignment should report directly to the Fine Arts Auditorium. Practice on June 13 willlast until approximately 11:00 a.m., and practice on June 14 will end at approximately 10:30 a.m.,with dismissal for the Seniors immediately following practice. Caps and gowns as well as tickets forthe ceremony will be given on June 14, provided all fines and other obligations are fulfilled.Students should be aware that appropriate conduct is expected during the graduation practices.Graduation practice is mandatory and any student who does not attend both practices (unless prioradministrative permission has been given) will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.FINES:All books, equipment, fines, etc. must be paid for before the student receives a cap, gown andtickets. PARKING:Plan to arrive on campus in time to park and walk to the field or the Fine Arts Center. Onceparking is at capacity on campus, additional parking will be available at Switlik Elementary <strong>School</strong>.Shuttle buses will be available from Switlik, from 3:30 p.m. for the outdoor or indoor ceremony thatbegins at 4:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. for the indoor ceremony that begins at 7:00 p.m. Pleaseremember that parking is not permitted on the shoulder of Don Connor Boulevard and cars parkedthere will be subject to ticketing.CLOTHING:While lightweight clothing under the gown is appropriate, appearance is extremely important. Shirts,ties, long pants and shoes are to be worn by males, dresses and appropriate shoes for females. Girlsare not permitted to bring purses and are asked to remember that shoes with high heels can createproblems both inside and out.PHOTOGRAPHS:A photographer from Normandy Studio will be taking a picture of each graduate as he or shereceives their diploma. You can then view the pictures on their website,www.normandystudio.zenfolio.com/graduation2012 and place your order with Normandy Studio.FILMING ON JTVPlease be advised that this ceremony will be filmed and broadcast on JTV – Cablevision’s Channel77, archived on our television server at www.jacksontelevision.com and DVDs of the ceremony willbe available for purchase. Visit the JTV website for a DVD order form.ADHERENCE TO <strong>SCHOOL</strong> RULES:If there is any reason to believe that a student is under the influence of drugs/alcohol, he orshe will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony.Misconduct during the final days of school may result in denial of participation in theceremony and seniors on conduct probation through graduation are not permitted toparticipate.Misconduct during the graduation ceremony or during the graduation practices may result inremoval from the ceremony.No large containers, backpacks, or bags are allowed inside Alumni Hall, the graduation area,or the campus grounds.Air horns are a distraction to the formality of the ceremony and are prohibited.Students are encouraged to not bring personal property such as purses and keys. There areno provisions to secure such items.As a reminder, students who will be attending the senior prom on Saturday, June 9, mustattend school on Monday, June 11. Failure to attend school will result in not participating inthe graduation ceremony.We thank you in advance for your cooperation in making this occasion joyous, memorable, safe, anddignified for all members of the Class of 2012.
