<strong>Learn</strong> & <strong>Train</strong> <strong>Assistant</strong> <strong>Job</strong> Description The <strong>Learn</strong> & <strong>Train</strong> <strong>Assistant</strong> will work to support the <strong>Learn</strong> and <strong>Train</strong> programme, liaising with schools, young people and practitioners. The position will be line managed by the <strong>Learn</strong> and <strong>Train</strong> Manager. The <strong>Learn</strong> & <strong>Train</strong> <strong>Assistant</strong> will have specific responsibilities relating to the company’s work during that period, including: • To support the co-‐ordination of Ignition activities across the UK. • To process applications and contact participants with workshop confirmations. • To make arrangements for practitioner and participant travel and accommodation. • To support the delivery of activities where necessary, including registering participants, sourcing refreshments, phoning participants and other tasks as required. • To support the co-‐ordination of <strong>Learn</strong> workshops in schools across the UK and abroad. • To make all necessary practitioner travel and accommodation arrangements. • To supply practitioners with pre-‐visit information including booking information, travel, accommodation and fees. • To make confirmation phone calls and emails to schools in advance of workshops. • To publicise workshops and events, recruit participants and process bookings for <strong>Train</strong> activity. • To support the delivery of <strong>Train</strong> activities by preparing registers and equipment. • To keep an accurate record of participant statistics and feedback, in line with funding requirements. • To oversee school resource sales such as DVDs and Playtexts. • To be a proactive and supportive member of the <strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> team. • To undertake other tasks as required. <strong>Learn</strong> & <strong>Train</strong> <strong>Assistant</strong> Personal Specification Essential skills • A minimum of 3 months office administration experience. • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a small, committed team. • Strong organisational and time management skills. • Attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Good IT knowledge, preferably including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. • A keen interest in contemporary theatre and arts education. • A positive, friendly and professional attitude. Desirable skills • Experience of booking travel and accommodation. • Experience of using Excel databases. Hours of work: Salary: Location: <strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong>’s normal office hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday but some evening and weekend work may be required. £300 per week before tax and National Insurance deductions. The post will be based in <strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong>’s offices at 31 Eyre Street Hill, London, EC1R 5EW but some travel may be required.
