Thischecklist outlines the important steps <strong>and</strong> requirements <strong>of</strong> the recruitment process. Selectedc<strong>and</strong>idates to receive notification <strong>of</strong> session location/time via email by Aug<strong>us</strong>t 31 st .• Second Interview – September 20 & 21 (time TBA): selected c<strong>and</strong>idates will bescheduled to attend an in-person behavioural interview at <strong>Kamloops</strong> Human Resources(105 Seymour Street). Selected c<strong>and</strong>idates will receive confirmed schedule by email.• Reference Checks – September 20-26: bring 3 work-related references to secondinterview – please provide an email address for each reference.• Police Records Check – September 20-26: instructions provided at second interview.• Employment Offer - September 27 - successful c<strong>and</strong>idates to be contacted by phone.• Orientation & Training – Sept 29-Oct 5: successful c<strong>and</strong>idates m<strong>us</strong>t attend three 4-5hour orientation sessions pl<strong>us</strong> a 4-hour shadow-guard/teach shift (afternoons/evenings).Schedule to be confirmed at second interview <strong>and</strong> by email.• HR & Payroll Sign up – Oct 1 or 2, between 8:30am-12:00pm: please report to HR(105 Seymour Street) prepared to provide payroll a copy <strong>of</strong> void cheque or bankinginformation for direct deposit <strong>and</strong> (important) <strong>your</strong> original Social Insurance (SIN) card.Required qualifications Minimum age: 17 years *please provide pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> age (Drivers license, passport etc.)Required certifications – m<strong>us</strong>t be current National Lifeguard Service – Pool Option (NLS) Lifesaving Instructor (LSI) Water Safety Instructor (WSI) CPR Level C (CPR-C) Workplace Hazardo<strong>us</strong> Materials InformationSystem (WHMIS) – not required to be currentIMPORTANT:1.
