We provide you with aset of one-day tickets, which you date <strong>and</strong> display foreach day that your boat is on our waters or moorings,excluding lochs. Explorer <strong>Licences</strong> are for vessels visitingfrom non-<strong>Scottish</strong> Canal waterways, entering a canal bysea, other inl<strong>and</strong> navigations or kept on l<strong>and</strong>.Day Rate for Trailer Boats(Lowl<strong>and</strong> <strong>Canals</strong> only)Access to our waterways is welcomed from day visitorsaccessing from <strong>Scottish</strong> Canal owned slipways. The feeof £12.00 is payable at our local offices <strong>and</strong> it includesuse of our slipways. If for any reason you are unableto exit from the waterway you will be charged anadditional £8.00 for use of an overnight mooring <strong>and</strong> anadditional £12.00 fee for the following day.The Falkirk WheelUse of the Wheel is free to all private pleasure boat licenceholders. It is best to book your passage time ahead.<strong>Visitor</strong> mooring information<strong>Scottish</strong> <strong>Canals</strong> visitor moorings are free of charge<strong>and</strong> available for short term use only – a maximumof 24 hours on the Lowl<strong>and</strong> canals. <strong>Visitor</strong> mooringsare available subject to the advertised mooring siterestrictions. A limited number of visitor moorings atSeaport Marina on the Caledonian Canal are usuallyavailable, outside the marina compound, at no extracost. <strong>Visitor</strong> moorings within the marina compound areavailable free of charge for the first night (One free nightper licence) <strong>and</strong> £8.00 per night thereafter.<strong>Short</strong> <strong>Term</strong> licence holders are reminded that BellanochMarina, on the Crinan Canal, is reserved for long termberth holders <strong>and</strong> must not be used by visiting craft.InsuranceYour vessel must have insurance that covers at least onemillion pounds third party liabilities.2 scottishcanals.co.uk
