No parts will be swapped between any twoUPS.The firm will keep fairly good stock of components at the site with the resident engineers soas to minimize the down time of machines/equipments / UPS.The contractor shall provide new and original spare parts, assemblies and sub assemblies inplace of such items which develop defects/suffer break down during the period of AMC.These replaced parts shall be of same or higher configurations by the firm at his cost afterobtaining permission from FRI. The replaced part will be the property of FRI soon afterinstallation.The contractor shall attend to rectify the minor complaints on the same day. In case of majorcomplaints, the equipment shall be set right and restored in working conditions within twodays for the date of reporting of the fault. However, after deciding that it is a major fault, astand by unit shall have to be provided by the firm normally on the same day and, in case, notlater than 12.00 noon on the following day, so that the work of the user / section does notsuffer.The contractor shall be required to hand over all the equipment in working condition at thetime of end/ termination of the contract, otherwise the equipment found faulty, shall be madegood at his risk and cost, by arranging its repair from external agencies. The accrued cost onsuch repairs, if any, shall be deducted from the liable payments/performance guarantee asapplicable.4.2 GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)(g)While submitting the bid, the bidder shall be deemed to have read, understood and acceptedall the terms and conditions stated in this Tender Document.The bidder shall indicate the complete address of the Company/Office and Service Centrealong with the name (s) of the contact person (s) and their telephone/Fax/Mobile Nos. (s)and other particulars as per Form 3.The bidder will have to furnish Rs.20,000/(Rupees Twenty thousand only) as EarnestMoney Deposit in the form of DD/FDR/Bank Guarantee/Bankers Cheque issued by anynationalized bank located at Dehradun, in favour of Account Officer, FRI valid for at leastsix months. EMD of the successful bidder is liable to forfeited as per rules, if firm fails tohonour the contract when awarded.The date of opening of financial bids shall be intimated separately, only to the biddersdeclared successful in Technical bids.Acceptance of the bid shall be communicated to the successful bidder by a formal letter ofacceptance.Commencement of Assignment shall be within seven days from the date of acceptance ofoffer at FRI, Dehradun.The successful bidder shall be required to sign a ‘Comprehensive Maintenance Contract forthe period of one year’, on a stamp paper of Rs.100/to be furnished by the firm within oneweek of receiving communication regarding acceptance of the bid. The AMC will start fromthe date of signing contract agreement. In the tender document, the lists of hardware/machines/UPS are not final.
