During that time he dealtwith every issue involved in family court settings, including: the character, value and division ofproperty; child and spousal support; child custody and visitation; paternity; and, stepparent andgrandparent rights. He has had extensive experience both in private practice and on the benchwith inter-state and international child custody disputes.During his years of service to the probate department, he presided over wills and trustslitigation, as well as guardianships and conservatorships.Drawing on his experience on both sides of the bench, he hopes to bring to ADR new andinnovative ways of serving attorneys and their clients in family law and probate matters.Through private judging and mediation, he can assist in the resolution of these matters in atimely and efficient manner, preserving the parties’ right to due process of law and with a keeneye toward fair settlements whenever possible.JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE1996 – 2011 Orange County Superior Court, Family LawUpon the adoption of a direct calendar system in the court, he was assigned to adepartment that managed family law matters for all purposes, pendente lite orders,discovery disputes, settlement conference, and trial and post judgment litigation.1994 – 1996 Orange County Superior Court, ProbateAssigned to a trial court wherein numerous matters were heard dealing with willcontests, trusts, guardianships and conservatorships. This assignment also includedresponsibilities in managing various accounts calendars involving the administration ofestates and court supervised trusts.1991 – 1994 Orange County Superior Court, Family LawFamily Law OSC department assignment dealing with temporary orders pending trial,support, exclusive use of property, maintenance of community debts, child custody andvisitation.
