Certificate Program is a program for<br />
front-line supervisors, managers and team<br />
leaders who need practical skills for dealing<br />
with day-to-day management challenges.<br />
The program is for both entry-level<br />
supervisors as well as more experienced<br />

Instructors in the program are chosen for<br />
their ability to provide practical, relevant<br />
material acquired through personal education<br />
and experience.<br />
Courses will incorporate discussions, individual<br />
exercises, lectures, videos and<br />
group work to give participants the best<br />
opportunities for learning not only what to<br />
do but how to do it well.<br />
This program will help you develop and<br />
strengthen your supervisory abilities - giving<br />
you, your team, and your organization<br />
the competitive edge necessary to succeed.<br />
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS<br />
It is strongly recommended registrants<br />
have the equivalent of Math 10A or 10P<br />
and English 10-1 or 10-2.<br />
Alternative ways to demonstrate English<br />
proficiency are:<br />
• minimum of 73% on all four<br />
sections of <strong>NAIT</strong>’s ESL Assessment<br />
Exam<br />
• IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no<br />
band less than 5.0<br />
• University of Alberta ESL 140/145<br />
successful completion<br />

REQUIREMENTS<br />
All participants must meet the course<br />
requirements of the compulsory courses<br />
and any electives in order to receive<br />
<strong>NAIT</strong>’s Supervisory Development Certificate.<br />
