During theCamp official times can beestablished to compete forone of 16 spots (8 males, 8females) from the AtlanticRegion to compete at theCF National SwimmingChampionship being held inconjunction with theCanadian Masters SwimChampionships 20-22 Mar2009 in Nepean Ont. <strong>The</strong>qualifying times listedbelow are the minimum timestandards that a CFswimmer must haveachieved during asanctioned swim meetwithin 15 months prior tothe competition. <strong>The</strong>re arethree ways to acquirequalifying times first andthe most recommended wayis participation in thedevelopment camp, next aregistered civiliancompetition and lastlyunder the supervision ofBase PSP staff proof oftimes must be provided.• Freestyle - 100m, 400m, and1500m;• Backstroke - 100m;• Breaststroke - 100m;• Butterfly - 100m; and• Individual Medley (IM) - 200m.Successful athletes will berequired to swim the eventthey qualified in as well as aminimum of two additionalevents up to the maximumallowed by thechampionship host.Anyone interested intraining or competing at thisevent please contact the14 Wing Sports coordinatorMr. Graham White Loc 5753or E MailGraham.White@forces.gc.ca.2008 RHU (PMQ) ChristmasDecoration Contest WinnersSubmitted by: Capt Keith Cusson (Community CouncilHousing Chairman)<strong>The</strong> judging for the 14 Wing Community ChristmasDecoration Contest was very close this year, with severalbrilliant and festive displays. We encourage everyone to takea stroll through the RHUs to look at the displays, you won’tbe disappointed.<strong>The</strong> judges consisted of the Wing Commander, the WingCWO, the 14 Wing Community Council President, CplHamalainen and myself. We spent the early evening onDecember 18 th making our way around the communitysearching for the merriest households of the community. <strong>The</strong>final three winners were selected based on colour, theme andoverall look. <strong>The</strong> prizes, donated by your Community Counciland CFHA, took the form this year of gift cards from yourGreenwood Sobeys, Canadian Tire and Irving stores to givetotal amounts of $250.00, $150.00 and $100.00 for 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rdplaces respectively. Thismoratorium would beeffective immediately untilthe end of the active posingseason (APS).As a general rule, requestsfor local moves will only beconsidered if there areexceptional circumstances -when in doubt, occupants areencouraged to submit theirrequest to CFHA forconsideration.
