Terms & Conditions of Issue1. No Student may drive a motor vehicle to/from King’sCollege on a daily basis without the written permission ofthe School Officer.2. The only exceptions to the rule are as follows:• For ‘one off’ evening activities such as Glee Cluband the like as approved by the student’sHousemaster.• For Saturday Sport as approved by SportsCoaches• During the end of year examination period asapproved by the student’s Housemaster.3. No student driver may carry student passenger(s) unlessgranted permission to do so by his/her Housemaster. Suchpermission will be subject to the student gaining writtenapproval from his/her parent/guardian and theparent/guardian of the prospective student passenger(s).4. Students are expected to adhere to all driving regulations.If it is reported that a student fails to adhere to theseregulations the student will deemed to be in a position tohave his/her permission to drive to school withdrawn.5. Student drivers must strictly adhere to the College speedlimit (20 kph) inside the grounds. Pedestrians have right ofway at all times.6. Successful applicants will be issued with either an ‘A’ or‘B’ Permit. An A Permit will entitle the student to adesignated parking space inside the College grounds.There are limits to the numbers of A Permits. Each ‘A’permit sticker provided must be placed on the frontwindscreen of the car. It will indicate the parking bay thathas been assigned to you and which will correspond to theregistration provided by the student to the School Officer.7. A “B” Permit will entitle the student to park in HospitalRoad, Golf Ave and Middlemore Rd. Parents/Guardiansshould be aware there is a risk in having a vehicle parkedoutside the College. The College will not indemnify anyvehicle parked outside the College.8. There have been instances of students bringing contrabandinto the College in vehicles. As a condition of issue of anypermit the parent/ guardian expressly authorises the DeputyHeadmaster to order a search of the vehicle detailed in thepermit application as deemed necessary. No search willtake place without the student being present.
