Formatting Requirements: The “project” will be formatted in APA format.Grading Criteria: Submission of all graded items is required to pass the course.Tests (midterm and final)-------------------------------------400 pointsResearch Exercise---------------------------------------------200 pointsCriterion-----------------------------------------------------------100 pointsDiscussion Board (5-7 postings per week)---------------300 pointsA. The discussion board portion of the class accounts for 300 points /30%of the student’s final grade.B. A midterm and final exam will be given consisting of either a 40 M/C,T/F, matching, / fill in the blank type questions and three short answeressay questions OR 10 essay type questions. Each exam accountsfor 200 points / 20% of the student’s final grade.C. Research Exercise : Each student is required to complete a researchproject. The research exercise will consist of a 5+page wordprocesseddouble spaced APA style document. The project consistsof an area of interest to the student under the umbrella ofmanagement. The student will email to the instructor the area ofinterest for the research exercise by the end of week 1. The projectaccounts for 20% of the student’s final grade.D. The Criterion requirement will be detailed with instruction in separatecorrespondence. These instructions will be located in the CourseDocuments folder of Blackboard Course site. This will be the email by whichthe student will be contacted.Missed Classes: Students who are aware that they will miss a class shouldinform the instructor before class. Scheduled class assignments (tests, quizzes,etc.) may be re-scheduled or made-up with a prearranged, excused absence.Plagiarism: Plagiarism is any use of another person’s words or ideas withoutgiving proper credit to the person from whom you borrowed the words or ideas.Plagiarism is the theft of intellectual property.
