Well Ops AXE system is designed specifically for the environmental removal of multi-casing wellheads, piles andplatform conductors without the need for a rig or explosives.Developed by Well Ops in Australia, the AXE rigless wellhead removal system integrates with Well Ops’ otherproprietary abandonment solutions and is capable of cutting through casings from 7” through to 30” in a single cut.Using Well Ops’ proprietary entrained grit as a cutting medium, the 10,000 - 15,000 psi AXE water jet system willcut casings, well conductors, subsea flow lines, umbilicals, piles and all associated subsea infrastructure. It canalso be utilised to cut platform well conductors and legs.The system can be operated using an ROV, deployed from a non-specialist vessel and can operate at depthsbeyond 200m.The complete AXE system weighs less than 30 Te and is easily containerised, so it can be shipped for deploymentanywhere in the world.AXE uses environmentally friendly inert consumables and eliminates the need for explosives.
