NCS DIGITAL ATLAS 1950NCS – CMYK – RGBTranslation TableFor your service, we have included approximate CMYK and RGB valuesfor all of the 1 950 NCS Original colours. The CMYK values are exactlythe same as those found in the NCS Palette Creative’s digital colourlibraries and the NCS Digital Atlas. The CMYK values are meant foroffset printing on matt-coated paper, for more information see “NCS -CMYK - RGB”. This translation table can also be used to find the nearestRGB value for a specific NCS colour.We recommend you to use CMYK values when possible, since theresulting colour on screen or in print will often deviate from the standardNCS colour sample when using RGB. These limitationsbecome apparent, when the lightest and the most chromatic NCS coloursamples in the orange, purple and green area are matched to CMYKvalues. Colours, which the four-colour printing technique does not manageto reproduce exactly, have been highlighted in grey in this table. Thesecolours are divided into two classes. In the list, the light grey indicatescolours with a legible deviation from the NCS Original colour sample.The darker grey indicates colours with an even greater deviation betweenexpected outcome and the NCS colour sample. For colours of both classes,a representative CMYK value, which is judged to be the visually closest tothe NCS Original colour sample, has been selected.
