If <strong>the</strong>y are necessary, any brief announcements to <strong>the</strong> people follow here.141. Then <strong>the</strong> dismissal takes place. The Priest, facing <strong>the</strong> people and extending his hands, says:The Lord be with you.The people reply:And with your spirit.The Priest blesses <strong>the</strong> people, saying:May almighty God bless you,<strong>the</strong> Fa<strong>the</strong>r, and <strong>the</strong> S<strong>on</strong>, and <strong>the</strong> Holy Spirit.The people reply:Amen.(for a Simple blessing, as shown above, <strong>the</strong> Deac<strong>on</strong> does not give <strong>the</strong> invit<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> “Bow down…”)Solemn Blessings:142. Through Christour Lord.The people reply:AmenPriest: And may <strong>the</strong> blessing of almighty God, <strong>the</strong> Fa<strong>the</strong>r,and <strong>the</strong> S<strong>on</strong>, and <strong>the</strong> Holy Spirit, come down <strong>on</strong> you and remain with you for ever.R.
