PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, JALANDHARGeneral Instructions and next procedure for Registration in Ph.D. :i) The selected candidates will be eligible for enrolment in Ph.D. in PTU, within a period of twoyears, from the date of declaration of result.ii) Ph.D. Provisional Registration/ Enrolment Form and other formats like "Certificate fromSupervisor (Co-supervisor)" are available at PTU's website (www.ptu.ac.in). Candidates, whohave got the consent from the supervisor and co-supervisor (if any), are required to downloadand submit the completely filled Enrolment Form along with the "Certificate from Supervisorand Co-supervisor (if any)" and other required documents as per Ph.D. Regulations, in the officeof Dean (Academics), PTU. The eligibility conditions will be applicable as per the Ph.D.Regulations of PTU.iii)The selected candidates are required to submit their duly filled form as per instructions.For the Session commencing from July-Dec, the Candidate must submitthe Provisional Registration Form upto April 15 each Year. For the Sessioncommencing from Jan-June, the Candidate must submit the ProvisionalRegistration Form upto Oct. 15 each Year. The form which are receivedafter the prescribed date will be entertained in the Next Session.iv) Subjects (for different disciplines) for "six months course work" with complete syllabus will beavailable shortly at PTU's website. The classes for "six months course work" will be conducted,at weekends, in every semester, at selected regional centres of PTU.v) The Candidates, who will register themselves, can attend the six months course work classes atthe regional centre in the next coming session/semester.vi) After completion of the course work, thesis work will have to be completed within the timeperiod limit, as per there in Ph.D. Regulations of PTU.vii) Submission of synopsis for registration and other documentation formalities are as per the Ph.D.Regulation of PTU.
