Dear 4th Grade Crush;
What’s the matter? You don’t like it when guys hit you, pull your
hair and call you names. I know a ton of guys, particularly in
Congress, that pay extra for that kind of thing. And here you are
complaining about it. You know what I think you should do, show
him your affection right back. Tease him on the playground;
point, laugh and whisper in front of him to your friends and when
he asks just respond with, “Nothing.” Or even better, when you
two are playing spin the bottle and you get to do Seven Minutes
in Heaven, just stand there with the light on, chewing your gum
and say “gross” when he goes in for the kill. Seriously everyone,
GROW UP!

A friend of mine has started to pull my hair randomly and tease me whenever
he can. He says that it's because I'm easy to annoy and he likes getting a
rise out of me. When I ask other people about it, they say he's trying to let
me know he likes me. How do I figure out what the real deal is?

We all know that guys are a lot less mature than girls are.
Honestly though, with the way guys act, it's really hard to give
you a helpful answer. He could be flashing back to elementary
school and trying to piss you off to show his warped sense of
affection. Or he could just be the kind of guy who really enjoys
annoying his friends any way he can. The only way to truly figure
out how he feels is to take the adult route - ask him how he
feels. With any luck, he'll be mature and let you know the truth.
