HADRAT juwairiyAHeyes were wet with tears and there was only one prayer on herlips, “O Lord, I am happy with any circumstance you put me in,just give me the courage to bear it all.” 19It was hard to believe that the Holy Prophet sa had leftthis world. It seemed like the world was empty without him.She missed her beloved husband all the time. At times whenshe missed him a lot, she would leave her house and go to thehouse of Hadrat ‘A’ishah ra where the blessed body of the HolyProphet sa had been laid to rest. She would say Salam, sit nearhis feet, shed tears uncontrollably, and talk about what shewas feeling. Then, when she was able to control her emotions,she would get up from there and come back to her own housewhere she occupied herself in the remembrance of Allah. 20The four pious Khulafa’ gave the wives of the HolyProphet sa utmost respect and reverence. Hadrat ‘Umar ra fixedan allowance for her in the amount of six thousand Dirhamannually.Hadrat Juwairiyah ra has narrated seventeen Ahadith.She passed away in Rabi‘ul-Awwal, 50th Hijri, at the age ofsixty-five and she was buried in Jannatul-Baqi‘. 2132
