Theprogramme consists of Four Semesters - Semester I and II in the First Year of theProgramme and Semesters III and IV in the Second Year of the programme.Duration :The Master Degree Programme in Science (M.Sc.) for a period of two years. Eachacademic year shall comprise of two semesters viz. Odd and Even semesters. Oddsemesters shall be from June / July to October / November and Even Semesters shall befrom November / December to April / May.Subjects offered at M. Sc. Programme :1. M.Sc. (PHYSICS)2. M.Sc. (CHEMISTRY)3. M.Sc. (BOTANY)4. M.Sc. (ZOOLOGY)5. M.Sc. (MATHEMATICS)6. M.Sc. (STATISTICS)7. M.Sc. (GEOLOGY)Page 2

The final result (pass/fail and the division obtained) shall be determined at the end ofthe successful clearance of all the four semesters.5. The candidate shall be eligible for the award of the degree after successful clearance ofall the courses of semester I, II, III & IV by the fourth semester examination of thetwo year programme or till expiry of registration / enrolment. Maximum duration ofpassing the course will be four years.Page 5
