Thisyear, any academically qualified consultant orengineer aged 35 or under by 1 March 2011is eligible for entry. The process is by selfnomination.We seek entries from those who are committed to their careerand have views about the role of consultants and engineersin the future. In their work they will have completed andcontributed to a range of projects, taking part in other industryinitiatives and address challenges, all of which make them standout from the rest.We are looking for the future champions of our profession.The Young Consultant of the Year Award recognisesyoung excellence and talent in the field of consultancy andengineering. The winner receives a cash prize of £1,000,and the title of Young Consultant of the Year 2011. Entrants must be working as consultants orengineers and aged 35 or under by 1 March20112. Entrants’ reports must be typed and printed onA4 paper, be no longer than 750 words andshould not be bound. If the maximum wordcount is exceeded the entry will be disqualified3. Up to 5 additional supporting images and/or diagrams can be included. Entrants shouldensure that the material provided is suitable forb/w photocopying, as judges will make theirassessment on the basis of b/w copies. Entriesmust not exceed the maximum number ofsupporting images or diagrams specified4. Entries must be submitted using this entry form5. The judges have absolute discretion andwithout recourse against them to rejectany entry which does not comply with therequirements of the rules6. The judges’ decision is final and binding andno discussion or correspondence regarding thedecision will be entered into7. By making an entry, the entrant assigns to theorganisers the right to publish the entry. Withoutseeking further permission, the organisers maypublish the entire entry or an edited version, atall times honouring confidentiality of specifiedinformation, and assign their publication rightsto a third party8.
