Announcements.The Acting Clerk of the House announced the following:i. the receipt of a letter from Lagos State Civil Service Commission Ref. No. BII43/Vol. I/16 dated 25 th May, 2012 titled“Confirmation of Re: Appointment of Hon. Rasaq Folorunsho Balogun as a member of the Civil ServiceCommission” requesting the House for a convenient date for the appearance and confirmation of the nominee, Hon.Rasaq Folorunsho Balogun as a member of the Civil Service Commission;The House resolved that the nominee appear on Thursday, 7 th June, 2012 at 10.00 a.m. prompt.ii.iii.the presence of four (4) Interns from the African Leadership Forum, Sango Ota, Ogun State, at the gallery to watch theday’s sitting; andthe receipt of a letter from Hon. Olowo R.E. (Somolu I), Chairman, Committee on Works and Infrastructure informing ofthe postponement of the inspection tour earlier scheduled to commence on 6 th June, 2012 till a later date.4. Petition.The Acting Clerk of the House read out the contents of a petition from Yekini Olatunji Aregbesola dated 31 st May,2012, titled “Re: Petition against Unlawful Termination of Appointment by the Lagos State Polytechnic” callingfor the intervention of the House over his unlawful termination of employment by the Lagos State Polytechnic.5. Personal Explanation.Mr. Speaker informed the House of the birthday anniversary of Hon. Ms. Oduntan O. (Alimosho II) on Tuesday, 5 thJune, 2012, urging Members, staff and Members of the Fourth Estate of the realm to celebrate with her at AbidapInternational Hotel, Ipaja.Members wished the celebrant a happy birthday and many more years of fruitful service to humanity.6. (Ikorodu I), Chairman, Ad hoc Committee on Infringement and Provocation Ditto toUnprecedented Intimidation & Harassment of our Client (Lagos State Charcoal Suppliers Association) by Mr.Benjamin; Mr. & Mrs. Muyiwa; Kike Adebamigbe and their faceless agents in collaboration with Mr. HakeemAdeniji, Director of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Mrs. Abiose of the same Ministry presented theCommittee’s Report, accordingly.Adoption of Report for Debate.Motion made and question proposed: “That the Report as presented be adopted for debate”.Hon. Mrs. Tejuoso A.
