This is the first verification stepwhere we request you to review the Occupational Profiles that have been developed by theCommunity of Expert Practitioners (CEP) that was <strong>co</strong>nstituted for the respective specialistoccupations. The occupational profile is one of the results of the curriculum developmentprocess and provides the basis for the development of the curriculum <strong>co</strong>ntent of the specifi<strong>co</strong>ccupation or occupational speciali<strong>za</strong>tion. It <strong>co</strong>mprises an occupational purpose and theoccupational tasks that are performed by practitioners of the occupation or speciali<strong>za</strong>tion.Each task is also broken down into a related product or service, one or more occupationalresponsibility and one or more occupational <strong>co</strong>ntext. The occupational profile forms the unitof analysis for the development of the curriculum <strong>co</strong>mponents.We therefore request that you please review the Occupational profile with thefollowing questions in mind:Is it the most appropriate title for the occupation?Does this reflect what you think the key focus of the person in this occupation’s work is?Occupational Task Statements· Do these tasks reflect the key performance areas of this occupation?· Are these the various steps in the production cycle, business processes or value chainof this person’s work?· Are these the overarching occupational responsibilities of the person?Products or services· Are these the unique products or services produced or delivered by this person?· Would this person be asked to do this or provide this?· Would this person be paid for providing or doing this?Occupational Responsibilities· Do these reflect what this person must do to deliver the service or produce theproduct?· Are these the highest level activities that best describe the overall responsibilities?· Do these statements of responsibility reflect an overarching statement for the buildingblocks in the form of practical skills?· Are these the steps that must be taken in order to deliver the product or service?Directors: Robert Williamson; Aurelio Grech-Cumbo; Bevan DavisCompany Registration Number: 2005/023407/07
