The shaft issupported in a magnetic field which means that there is nocontact and no wear ensuring reliable operation and long life.Q-drive High Speed MotorThe patented Q-drive motor incorporates an asynchronousinduction design and operates at high speeds to avoid theneed for a conventional gearbox. This eliminates the costlygearbox losses and means that the compressor does notrequire any oil at all.Inlet FiltersHigh efficiency inlet air filtration for effective protection ofthe compression assembly. Variable Speed DriveThe high frequency inverter variable speed drive actsas an electronic gearbox. Not only does it allow for therequired high speeds for compression, it also providesvariable speed operation to match compressor flow to plantdemand and hence minimise power consumption.Zero Loss DrainsThe Quantima package is fitted with zero loss drains whichautomatically drain condensate from the package based onlevel sensors. These are fitted on both the intercooler andaftercooler and condensate strainers are also fitted on theinlet of the drains. Manual drains are also included.EMC Filter and Input ChokeThe Quantima package incorporates Input Choke on theincoming mains power to protect the compressor drivefrom abrupt changes to incoming power supply and alsofunction as protection against harmonics back to the mainssupply.
