“ผมว่าพระเจ้าอยู ่หัวทรงเคารพความเห็นจากนานาประเทศ ดังนั ้นถ้าหากมันเป็นความเห็นของชาวโลกว่าถึงเวลาแล้วที่เมืองไทยจะต้องปรองดองกัน และให้มีการกราบบังคมทูลปรึกษาหารือกับพระเจ้าอยู ่หัวแล้วให้ความคิดบางอย่างกับพระองค์สักหน่อย ถ้าได้อย่างนั ้นพระองค์ก็อาจกลับมาทรงคิดได้บ้างว่า เอาหล่ะ นี่เป็นทางออก ผมเชื่อว่านั่นคือทางออกในการแก้ปัญหา”Tom ลากคุณทักษิณลงลึกมากขึ ้น ติดกับดักแห่งคําถามนําสนิทแล้ว:Tom: “… Supposing someone of respect --- Ban Ki-moon, the United NationsSecretary General --- supposing he were to go to Bangkok and to talk to the King,and say, ‘There has been all this turmoil and bloodshed, this is not good forThailand. Would the Kingreceive him?“… สมมุติว่าจะมีคนที่น่าเคารพสักคน --- เช่นนายบัน คี-มูน เลขาธิการองค์การสหประชาชาติ--- สมมุติว่าให้ท่านไปกรุงเทพฯ แล้วเข้าเฝ้ ากราบบังคมทูลพระเจ้าอยู ่หัว โดยบอกว่า ‘ความวุ่นวายและการนองเลือดทั ้งหลายที่เกิดขึ ้นนั ้นมันเป็นสิ่งไม่ดีสําหรับประเทศไทยเลย ทําไมจึงปรองดองกันไม่ได้?’ พระเจ้าอยู ่หัวจะทรงรับฟังไหม? พระองค์จะให้นายบัน คี-มูน เข้าเฝ้ าไหม?”Thaksin: “I think that given Ban’s position, the King will welcome him.
