The Extension Service aids farmers of thestate, while the Agricultural Experiment Stationcarries on research in more than 140 problems ofinterest to the farmer.During the year about 220 students have beenenrolled in the College of Agriculture.Dean Jddipgs received his B.S. and M.S.degrees from the Colorado Agricultural College.H is special hObbies are golf and hunting.Dean Id~ngs came to the University of Idaho in1910, where his extensive duties place him as thedirector of the Agricultural Experiment Stationand- also the Extension Service.Edward J ohn Iddings--• • • John Anton Kostalek, dean of the College ofLetters and Science, except for one year when hewas with the Chemical Warfare Division of theUnited States Army, has served continuously as amember of the Idaho faculty for twenty-five years.The Northwest Science Association recognizedDean Kostalek' s contributions to, and interest inscience, by electing him president for the year1930. The years he devoted to scientific experimentin a commercial field are reflected in thethorough and accurate manner in which he hasfilled the position as dean of the School of Lettersand Science. Before he came to Idaho, Dr. Kostalekreceived his B.A. and M.A. degrees from theUniversity of Wisconsin, and his Ph. D. degreefrom the University of Illinois.John An ton Kostalek2 2 •
