Theyear was 1900; Idaho was champion of thePacific Northwest.Today the Vandals think they still havea champion in that same George E. (Cap)Horton as Graduate Manager of studentactivities. He is "Cap" to every one."Cap" still plays a square game in footballand other athletic contests at Idaho,but he now works as "captain of the pocketbook."When it is a question of disbursingfunds for student activities- such asathletics, publications, and a score ofothers- "Cap" Horton is the authority formaking the move.30 •
