TREASURER<strong>AITA</strong> - <strong>Appointment</strong> <strong>of</strong> a <strong>CEO</strong>All <strong>India</strong> <strong>Tennis</strong> <strong>Association</strong> (<strong>AITA</strong>) has appointed Mr Hironmoy Chatterjee,a member <strong>of</strong> the Executive Committee <strong>of</strong> <strong>AITA</strong> and Hon. Secretary <strong>of</strong>Bengal <strong>Tennis</strong> <strong>Association</strong> as the <strong>AITA</strong>’s Chief Executive Officer (<strong>CEO</strong>) wef1 st Nov 2012.This decision was taken by the Executive Board <strong>of</strong> <strong>AITA</strong> headed by itsPresident Mr Anil Khanna in consultation with its Hon. Life PresidentMr Yashwant Sinha.Mr Hironmoy Chatterjee has more than 36 years <strong>of</strong> experience in tennisadministration and has conducted tournaments from junior level to theWorld Group Davis Cup Ties. He has comprehensive knowledge <strong>of</strong><strong>of</strong>ficiating, coaching and development <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tennis</strong>.Hironmoy’s team comprises <strong>of</strong> 3 Senior Executive Directors, CFO,Development Director, and 10 other full-time paid staff plus coachesdeployed in different parts <strong>of</strong> the country on a part-time basis.Mr Khanna, President, <strong>AITA</strong> stated that Hironmoy’s addition to the <strong>AITA</strong>team will make <strong>AITA</strong> a truly pr<strong>of</strong>essionally managed organization. Hestated that in today’s environment, it is necessary, in order to maximizethe opportunities, that the honorary persons should only be guiding thepolicy decision and leave the execution and management to full-timeexecutives. He mentioned that <strong>AITA</strong> has adopted the management modelR .K.
