Key Stage 3 News<strong>Year</strong> 7 Food TechnologyThe food produced in lessons by <strong>Year</strong> 7 this term has been extraordinary accordingto Mrs Payne. Seen here are some of the imaginative creations produced withsalad. The salads had to be created to be colourful and appeal to certain individualsor groups, for example, children or the elderly.Beautiful, creative andhealthy salads from<strong>Year</strong> 7 students.Pop ArtAs visitors to the school will have seen, <strong>Year</strong> 8 have really done themselves proudwith their art project “Pop Art” . Most students chose to scale up everyday itemsand the results, as you can see, are spectacular!Newick Primary/<strong>Year</strong> 8 Picture Books<strong>Chailey</strong>’s collaboration withour feeder primary schoolshas continued with a groupof <strong>Year</strong> 8 students creatingpicture books for smallchildren with <strong>Year</strong> 5 fromNewick Primary <strong>School</strong>.Thirty-five children visited<strong>Chailey</strong> and our studentsread them stories whichwere shared, discussed andevaluated. Using this asPage 6inspiration, they then workedtogether to create newpicture book stories.
