Take the A7 or A3 in the direction of Schweinfurt. Exit at Kreuz Biebelried and then<br />

Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen<br />

1.Vermittlung: Der Tourismus & Congress Service <strong>Coburg</strong> vermittelt mit der Sorgfalt eines ordentlichen Kaufmanns Gästeführer an<br />

interessierte Einzelgäste <strong>und</strong> Gruppen. Vertragspartner einer solchen Führung sind der Besteller einerseits <strong>und</strong> der Gästeführer andererseits.<br />

Alle Vertragsbeziehungen regeln sich zwischen diesen beiden Partnern gemäß den nachfolgenden Punkten.<br />

2. Bestellung: Der Tourismus & Congress Service <strong>Coburg</strong> vermittelt Führungen mit ausgebildeten Führungskräften nach vorheriger<br />

Bestellung. Wir bitten um Ihre schriftliche Bestellung bis spätestens 10 Tage vor dem gewünschten Führungstermin, so dass eine<br />

Auftragsbestätigung noch erfolgen kann. Kurzfristigere Bestellungen werden ohne Gewähr auf Durchführbarkeit nach bestem Wissen <strong>und</strong><br />

Gewissen vermittelt.<br />

3. Leistungsbeschreibung, Vergütung: Ab dem 1. April 2003 gelten folgende Konditionen für Führungshonorare:<br />

a) Preise für deutschsprachige Führungen pro Führer/Gruppe/St<strong>und</strong>en:<br />

2 St<strong>und</strong>en 55,00 Euro<br />

3 St<strong>und</strong>en 75,00 Euro<br />

4 St<strong>und</strong>en 95,00 Euro<br />

jede weitere angefangene St<strong>und</strong>e: + 20,00 Euro. Eintrittspreise sind im Honorar nicht enthalten (siehe 11.).<br />

b) Preise für fremdsprachige Führungen pro Führer/Gruppe wie unter a) <strong>und</strong> c): + 10,00 Euro.<br />

c) Preise für Tagestouren 140,00 Euro pro Bus (1 Reiseleiter)<br />

d) Mindestteilnehmerzahlen für Stadtführungen <strong>und</strong> Reiseleitungen gibt es nicht, jedoch darf pro Gästeführer eine Gruppengröße von 25<br />

Personen nicht überschritten werden. Bei Reiseleitungen wird ein Reiseleiter pro Omnibus eingesetzt (siehe 12.).<br />

e) Die Preise enthalten keine Mehrwertsteuer. Zu bezahlen sind gr<strong>und</strong>sätzlich alle bestellten <strong>und</strong> schriftlich bestätigten Details.<br />

f) Der Zeitraum für die Berechnung des Honorars beginnt zum schriftlich vereinbarten Zeitpunkt des Führungsbeginns.<br />

4. Bearbeitungsgebühr: Die genannten Preise für Führungen enthalten Bearbeitungsgebühren für den Tourismus & Congress Service <strong>Coburg</strong><br />

von 10,00 Euro. Die Bearbeitungsgebühr bezieht sich pro Gästeführer.<br />

5. Wartezeit, Ausfall: Der Gästeführer ist verpflichtet, eine Wartezeit von 30 Minuten ab dem vereinbarten Zeitpunkt des Beginns der<br />

Führung einzuhalten. Nach Ablauf von 30 Minuten steht es dem Gästeführer frei, weiter zu warten oder die Gruppe als nicht gekommen zu<br />

betrachten (siehe 7.).<br />

6. Änderungen bei verspätetem Eintreffen: Bei verspätetem Eintreffen der zu führenden Gäste muss zwischen diesen <strong>und</strong> dem Gästeführer<br />

vereinbart werden, ob die Führung entsprechend verkürzt oder ob - falls der Gästeführer nicht anderen Verpflichtungen nachkommen muss -<br />

die ursprünglich vereinbarte Dauer der Führung eingehalten werden soll. Im letzteren Fall berechnet sich das Honorar nach dem Zeitraum,<br />

der sich aus der Wartezeit <strong>und</strong> der tatsächlichen Dauer der Führung zusammensetzt (siehe 3.).<br />

7. Rücktritt: Wird eine bestellte Führung nicht in Anspruch genommen, ohne dass mindestens zwei Arbeitstage vor dem vereinbarten Termin<br />

<strong>und</strong> während der Dienstzeiten des Tourismus & Congress Service <strong>Coburg</strong> eine Rücktrittserklärung übermittelt worden ist, wird ein<br />

Ausfallhonorar in Höhe von 100 % des vereinbarten Honorars berechnet. Wurde die Dauer der Führung noch nicht festgelegt, so beträgt das<br />

Ausfallhonorar 100 % des Betrages für 2 St<strong>und</strong>en Dauer. Zur Vermeidung von Missverständnissen <strong>und</strong> aus organisatorischen Gründen wird<br />

dringlichst empfohlen, den Rücktritt schriftlich zu erklären.<br />

8. Zahlungsweise, Bearbeitungsgebühr: Soweit nicht anders vereinbart, wird das Führungshonorar unmittelbar nach Beendigung der Führung<br />

<strong>vom</strong> Besteller oder dessen Beauftragten direkt <strong>und</strong> bar beim Gästeführer bezahlt. Auf Wunsch wird eine Quittung ausgestellt. In<br />

Ausnahmefällen ist eine Rechnungsstellung möglich, die dann durch den Tourismus & Congress Service <strong>Coburg</strong> im Auftrag des<br />

Gästeführers erfolgt. Für diese zusätzliche Leistung berechnet der Tourismus & Congress Service <strong>Coburg</strong> eine Bearbeitungspauschale: sie<br />

beträgt 10,00 Euro.<br />

9. Einschränkungen: Der Besteller einer Führung nimmt zur Kenntnis, dass Teile <strong>Coburg</strong>s zur Fußgängerzone umgestaltet wurden <strong>und</strong> für<br />

den allgemeinen Kraftfahrzeugverkehr gesperrt sind, die Besichtigung somit nur zu Fuß erfolgen kann. Der Besteller nimmt ferner zur<br />

Kenntnis, dass zu bestimmten Zeiten Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht zu besichtigen sind oder die Führung in ihrem Ablauf gestört werden kann<br />

(z.B. Wochenmarkt, Samba-Festival etc.). Der Gästeführer bietet dafür Alternativen an, die in seinem Ermessen liegen, es sei denn, der<br />

Besteller äußert konkrete, durchführbare Wünsche. Der Besteller erklärt sich hiermit einverstanden.<br />

10. Treffpunkt, zusätzliche Leistungen: Üblicherweise ist der Treffpunkt für Stadtführungen der Marktplatz oder der Großparkplatz Anger.<br />

Wünscht der Besteller jedoch, dass der Gästeführer die Gruppe außerhalb des Stadtgebietes - im angrenzenden Landkreis <strong>Coburg</strong> - abholt,<br />

werden zusätzlich 15,00 Euro berechnet.<br />

11. Eintrittsgelder: Anfallende, zum Führungszeitpunkt gültige Eintrittskosten sind gr<strong>und</strong>sätzlich <strong>vom</strong> Besteller oder dessen Beauftragten vor<br />

Beginn der Führung für alle Teilnehmer gemeinsam, direkt <strong>und</strong> bar beim Gästeführer zu bezahlen.<br />

12. Gruppengröße: Pro Gästeführer darf eine Gruppengröße von 25 Personen nicht überschritten werden. Zählt die Gruppe mehr als 25<br />

Personen, sind entsprechend der jeweiligen Teilnehmerzahl weitere Gästeführer zu bestellen. Bei Nichtbeachtung wird ein Aufschlag in<br />

Höhe des vereinbarten Honorars fällig. Bei Reiseleitungen wird ein Reiseleiter pro Omnibus eingesetzt (siehe 3.d).<br />

13. Haftung: Der Tourismus & Congress Service <strong>Coburg</strong> ist nur als Vermittler tätig. Insoweit ist jegliche Haftung für Schäden<br />

ausgeschlossen. Der Gästeführer/Reiseleiter haftet nur bei grob fahrlässigem oder vorsätzlichem Handeln.<br />

14. Anerkennung der Vertragsbestimmungen: Der Besteller einer Führung erkennt diese Bedingungen mit der Auftragserteilung an. Erhält er<br />

von diesen Bedingungen erst nach der Auftragserteilung Kenntnis, erkennt er sie an, wenn er nicht unverzüglich nach Kenntnisnahme<br />

schriftlich widerspricht.<br />

15. Vermittlung, Anspruch: Die Vermittlung von Führungen regelt sich nach dem marktwirtschaftlichen Gr<strong>und</strong>satz von Angebot <strong>und</strong><br />

Nachfrage. Ein gr<strong>und</strong>sätzlicher Anspruch auf die Vermittlung von Führungen besteht nicht.<br />

16. Durchführung: Der Gästeführer ist hinsichtlich der Durchführung seiner Führungen nicht weisungsgeb<strong>und</strong>en; er wird sich diesbezüglich<br />

an den Wünschen der Gäste orientieren.<br />

17. Gerichtsstand: Gerichtsstand ist <strong>Coburg</strong>.<br />

18. Inkrafttreten: Die gegenständlichen neuen Geschäftsbedingungen treten ab 1. April 2003 in Kraft.

1 Art collections of the fortress of <strong>Coburg</strong><br />

The art collections are located in three connected historical wings of the fortress.<br />

„Steinerne Kemenate“ (Stony bower) :Luther's rooms, the Great Court Chamber dating<br />

from 1504, the Hunting Room with its marquetry dating from 1632, arts and handicrafts from<br />

the Middle Age and the early modern time – for example Pietà from 1360, Madonna of<br />

Bamberg from 1370, paintings by old German masters from the time of Dürer (including<br />

paintings by Jörg Breu the Elder, Hans Burgkmair, Albrecht Dürer, Matthias Grünewald,<br />

Lucas Cranach the Elder and more).<br />

Carl-Eduard-Building: an internationally important collection of old glass (Venetian<br />

glass, baroque glass), collections of porcelain, faience, tin and more; department of prints<br />

and drawings including study room: about 330.000 prints by 5.000 masters of all European<br />

schools dating from the 15 th century onwards. (request for use by telephone).<br />

Herzoginbau (“Duchess’s Building”): collection of historical weapons (military and<br />

hunting exhibits), ceremonial carriages (the oldest carriage still in working order in Europe),<br />

sledges dating from the 16 th to 18 th century as well as modern ceramic pottery.<br />

Former residence of field marshal Prince Friedrich Josias and Tsar Ferdinand of Bulgaria;<br />

today the former reception room is one of Germany’s most beautiful wedding halls.<br />

11 Town gate Spitaltor<br />

The northern town-gate of the historical town; height: 21,5 m; the spire is called “Welsche<br />

Haube”. The other town-gates are the Judentor in the west (Judengasse) and the<br />

Ketschentor in the south (Ketschengasse).<br />

12 Market square (Marktplatz)<br />

Monument of Prince Albert of Saxe-<strong>Coburg</strong> and Gotha, on the northern side of the square is<br />

the former chancery called Stadthaus in late German Renaissance style with richly<br />

ornamented gables and two oriels called “<strong>Coburg</strong>er Erker”; opposite on the southern side of<br />

the square: the town hall in Renaissance style with a prominemt oriel, a mansard roof and<br />

on the top of the gable the statue of saint Mauritius (the patron saint of the town).<br />

Next to the town hall: the building of the Sparkasse (Savings Bank) in rococo style. At the<br />

corner of the market square/Steingasse: the former court pharmacy (Hofapotheke) – a<br />

Located on the Rittersteich; built in 1435; former summer residence of the princes of<br />

Friedrich-Rückert-Str. 13, <strong>Coburg</strong> - Neuses. The poet and professor for oriental studies,<br />

Friedrich Rückert, was born in Schweinfurt in 1788. He lived in a manor (built in 1776) in<br />

Neuses, <strong>Coburg</strong>, upt to his death in 1866. His study – with the original furniture, books and<br />

ornaments still in place - was opened to public by Rückerts’ heirs. There is a bust of the poet<br />

in the adjoining Rückertpark.<br />

31 Callenberg Castle<br />

Neo-gothic jewel located in the midst of nature. First mentioned in 1122, since 1827 property<br />

of the ducal family of Saxe-<strong>Coburg</strong> and Gotha. Since 1998 the castle houses the "ducal art<br />

collection". The architecture and interior decoration of the rooms present the living culture of<br />

the 19 th century. The guided tours tell how the small duchy made world history due to its<br />

marriage policy. Highlights: furniture by Roentgen, the chapel from 1618, the historical inner<br />

court and the idyllic rose garden. One wing houses the German Marksmen’s Museum.<br />

19 Niederfüllbach Castle<br />

originally 14 th century, residence of the Lords of Schaumberg, after 1648 property of the Lords<br />

of Reitzenstein. 1680 new building with two oriels called “<strong>Coburg</strong>er Erker”, in 1830 the castle<br />

became property and favourite residence of Prince Leopold of <strong>Coburg</strong> – later the first King of<br />

20 Rosenau Castle<br />

From the 15 th century till 1698 the castle was a property of the mintmasters of Rosenau. In<br />

1816 the castle became the summer residence of the <strong>Coburg</strong> dukes and was rebuilt in English<br />

neo-Gothic style; birth-place of Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria of Great Britain and<br />

23 Heimatmuseum (Museum of local history)<br />

Luitpoldstr. 3; the former corn loft of the prince bishops; the exhibits demonstrate the rural,<br />

urban and ecclesiastical life of Seßlach. Scenes, exhibits, texts, paintings and so<strong>und</strong><br />

documents portray the history of the town from the Middle Ages until the 21 st century. Precious<br />

unique pieces, recent accessoions as well as changing exhibitions complete the walk through<br />

A collection of spectacular giant photographs as well as other displays enable the visitor to<br />

learn more about both ecology and the local countryside. Special information about the nature<br />

preserves on Seßlachs's doorstep and the town's Agenda 21 projects is also displayed. Slide<br />

shows and guided tours through the unique “Muggenbacher Tongruben” (clay pits in<br />

25 Geyersberg Castle<br />

Located above the town of Seßlach; originally the property of the Lords of Lichtenstein, later<br />

an official seat of Würzburg; main building from the 17 th century; so called “Jägerhaus” (<br />

"hunter’s house") from 1541; relics of the medieval wall and the donjon. Private – Restaurant!<br />

26 Heilgersdorf Castle<br />

The castle was built in 1705 for the Lords of Lichtenstein; court with loggia, estrade in front of<br />

the castle; unique architecture in Franconia. No sightseeing!<br />

27 Sonnefeld<br />

Former Cistercian convent, 13 th century; in 1525 abolition of the sisterhood; in 1856 the<br />

interior was rebuilt in a neo-Gothic style. Hall in late Gothic style; splendid works by<br />

28 Untersiemau<br />

“Unteres Schloss” (moated castle): the castle was built on an orthogonal gro<strong>und</strong> plan with<br />

two ro<strong>und</strong> towers in the 13 th century; in 1525 rebuilt after destruction; the castle was restored<br />

and the complexion changed by Bodo Ebhardt in 1919. Private!<br />

St. Moriz church<br />

Late Gothic church; the interior was redone in the baroque style in the middle of the 18th century; in the<br />

chancel stands Nikolaus Bergner’s 13m high memorial of Duke Johann Friedrich; in 1989, the church’s<br />

beautifully-adorned organ, which dates back to 1749, was faithfully restored following the plans of the<br />

original organ maker, Johann Heinrich Daum.<br />

Martin Luther preached in St. Moriz church several times while he was living and working in the Veste,<br />

The Hermann Spielwaren <strong>Coburg</strong> factory makes more than 200 different teddy bears, most of which are<br />

limited editions. Some of them have won international awards, such as the famous American “Toby<br />

Award“. Since 1993, all Hermann <strong>Coburg</strong> teddy bears have had the Hermann <strong>Coburg</strong> badge on their<br />

necks. This ensures that they are the ‘real thing’. In the factory’s exhibition room, there are numerous<br />

M.I. Hummel Information Centre and Museum for Porcelain at the Goebel factory<br />

On a visit to the information centre and museum for porcelain at the Goebel factory in Rödental near<br />

<strong>Coburg</strong>, you can learn about how the world-famous Hummel figurines are made. You can watch the<br />

interesting short film about how the figurines are manufactured and about the life of the Franciscan Sister,<br />

Maria Innocentia Hummel. There are not only Hummel figurines on display in the museum, but also<br />

Thuringian porcelain from the 18 th and 19 th centuries as well as numerous works by various European<br />

porcelain manufacturers.<br />
