SAILOR HF SSB 150W PEPSmall and powerfulSAILOR has more than 50 years’experience in developing and manufacturingsolutions for maritimecommunications. The 150W MF/HFPEP transceiver with integrated DSC(Digital Selective Calling) not onlycomplies with the relevant GMDSSsafety requirements – particularlythose applying to fishing vessels – italso sets new standards for compactness, reliability, versatility and userfriendliness. The Transceiver Unit HT4610The ruggedized HT4610 is housed ina heatsink metal cabinet where nomechanical fans are needed forcooling of the transceiver. The highlyeffective 150W PEP transceiverensures 150 Watt output power onall channels. All ITU channels are pre-programmedin the HT4610, and private channelscan easily be chosen from the menuof the HC4500B. A separate receiverconstantly watches on channel2187.5 for safety-related communications, and up to 6 advanced programmablescanning programmeswatch for daily communications. Theflexible transceiver has a frequencyrange covering 150 kHz to 30 MHz,continuous operation.SAILOR System 4000 150W MF/HFruns on 24V DC, which can be fedfrom the optional SAILOR PS4655Power Supply that can be backed upby the SAILOR CH4656 BatteryCharger. The 150W MF/HF SSB is the latestaddition to the well-known System4000 MF/HF range, whose modelshave been installed on board vesselsthroughout the world. The rangenow includes 150, 250 and 500 Watttransceivers that meet requirementsfor professional communicationsequipment on board vessels all overthe world. The 150W MF/HF modelsatisfies the MF/HF requirements ofGMDSS A2 installations. Built intothe well-known System 4000 rangeof consoles, it also fulfils all otherrequirements for A2 installations.Combined with SAILOR Sat-C equipment,System 4000 150W MF/HFSSB complies with the requirementsof MF/HF GMDSS A3 installations. The new System 4000 150W hasbeen specifically designed to copewith the demand for reliable communicationsin the tough conditionsfound on small boats and fishingvessels, where ease of use and highperformance are crucial to dailycommunications and the safety ofthe crew. Thus, the 150W MF/HFSSB is also suitable for other typesof vessels where 150 Watt outputis sufficient. The Control Unit HC4500BThe System 4000 150W has featuresthe level of user-friendliness forwhich SAILOR is famous. The ControlUnit HC4500B is used for easy operationof the system via the soft-keysand the intelligent menus presentedin the highbright graphic LCDdisplay. This facilitates both dailycommunications and safety-relatedmessages. The small and ruggedizedHC4500B metal cabinet requiresminimum space for installation, and the separate handset and loudspeakermake installation easy andflexible. To increase the safety onboard, the optional SAILOR AlarmPanel AP4365 can be installed elsewhereon board the vessel. The 150W MF/HF is prepared forinterfacing with an external modemfor cost-effective data communications,e.g. Globe Wireless. The Antenna Tuning UnitHA4615The HA4615 in a polycarbonatecabinet is designed for outdoorinstallation and can resist the harshenvironment at sea. The highly efficientantenna tuning unit provides apowerful signal that improves communicationsquality. The antenna tuner can operate with8 to 18-metre wire and/or whipantennas. The highly sophisticated unit automaticallytunes according to theantenna connected. The compact, ruggedized designrequires minimal space and thethree-unit system makes installationsimple. In addition, with a maximumdistance of 100 m between thetransceiver and the control unit anda further 100 m between the transceiverand the antenna tuner, thesystem is remarkably flexible.System 4000 150W MF/HF is designedto be a long-lasting reliablecommunications tool – powerfuland user-friendly for reliable dailycommunications as well as forsafety.
