After 2hr biking we willreach My Tho, a quiet town by the bank of theMekong River. Lunch break in My Tho beforeriding to Vinh Long, the capital of Vinh LongProvince which lying between two big branchesof the Mekong River. From My Tho to Vinh Longwe ride on small paved roads running through avast expanse of rice field. Upon arrival in thesmall town of Cai Be we take an interesting boattrip to cross the mighty Mekong River to reach avillage on a small island in the middle of the river,where we spend the night in a local home. Thehome stay will be an unforgettable experienceand can give you a unique insight into the cultureof the locals. Day 2: Vinh Long – Chau DocAfter breakfast we say goodbye to the family andcross the Mekong River on boat. We will take abus transfer to the peaceful town of Sa Dec, whichis famous for its many nurseries of flower andbonsai. Here we begin riding to Cho Moi, a smalltown known for its rich groves of fruit. The ride inthe morning is on the smooth paved road alongthe Mekong. Lunch in Cho Moi before taking morebiking in the afternoon to reach Chau Doc, apleasant little town near the Cambodia border. Wewill have a panoramic view over the vast plain ofthe Mekong Delta and far into Cambodia. Dinnerin local restaurant and enjoy an orientation tour ofChau Doc by xe dap loi (pulling cyclo).
