In this sectoryou are surrounded with top technicians from all over the world, withwhom you work together to develop future technology and processes.The department Mechatronics Systems Development is responsible forspecification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronicssub-systems and components which are fitted into the end products. Themain focus is on nanometer-accuracy positioning of high speedcomponents for transporting/positioning of wafers and reticles andadjustments of optical elements. As mechatronics designer you will beemployed in one of these focus areas, where you have the opportunity todevelop yourself in the knowledge that you find interesting. This meansthat ASML gives you the chance to grow as fast as you want.As a mechatronics designer in the ASML D&E department you’ll workwithin a multidisciplinary project, with colleagues from mechanics,electronics and software and you’ll report to one of the group leaders inMechatronics. In these projects you are contributing to the developmentof the mechatronic systems in terms of:•Specification•Design•Breakdown of specifications into detailed specifications•Critical component selection•Defining the technical approach for integration & test•Test execution of mechatronic components or subsystems, withthe emphasis on control-engineering tuning, signal analysis andfunctional integration and troubleshoot.While working on the above, you deal with actuators, dynamics,mechanics, motion control, thermal behavior, sensors and electronics.EducationTechnical University masters or PHD in Mechatronics, Mechanicalengineering (control systems), Electrical engineering (control systems),Automotive or Aerospace science-engineering.17
