FALL Learning Center classes begin Monday, September<br />
10, 2012 and end Friday, November 30, 2012. Classes are<br />
11 ses<strong>si</strong>ons, unless otherwise noted. The Fall registration<br />
deadline is August 24, 2012. INTERSESSION 2013 classes<br />
begin January 7, 2013 and end February 8, 2013. The IN-<br />
TERSESSION registration deadline is December 21, 2012.<br />
All registration must be received by mail only. UFT retirees<br />
will be registered first before spouses, domestic partners,<br />
AFT, NYSUT & PSC members. Registration forms MUST<br />

1. COURSES<br />
You may register for only three courses. However, you<br />
may register for seminars, NYSUT Defen<strong>si</strong>ve Driving,<br />
trips, theater and dine-arounds in addition to your courses.<br />
There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE REGIST -<br />
RATION FEE OF $5 for each course. Write one<br />
check/money order for courses.<br />
2. SEMINARS<br />
You M UST register for all seminars to guarantee seating.<br />
Seminars have a NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRA-<br />
TION FEE OF $2. There is no fee for benefit seminars<br />
(e.g. anuity workshops, legal plan and health benefits).<br />
Write one check/money order for seminars.<br />
3. TRIPS<br />
You may register for up to five trips. Do not add a registration<br />
fee. The price shown is the complete fee for each<br />
trip. Refunds are made upon written request up to four<br />
weeks prior to trip date. Write one check/money order for<br />

6. TO REGISTER<br />
• Each registrant must complete a separate registration<br />
coupon for Fall 2012 and Interses<strong>si</strong>on 2013 with name<br />
and last four digits <strong>of</strong> social security number. Spouses are<br />
wait listed and therefore checks/money orders are not required.<br />
• Each registrant must pay with his/her own<br />
checks/money orders. MEMBERS CANNOT PAY FOR<br />
OTHER MEMBERS. Make checks/money orders<br />
payable to UFTWF RETIREE PROGRAMS and<br />
enclose payment with the registration form. Include on<br />
the checks/money orders the course number exactly as it<br />
appears in the course description section.<br />

7. Your course selection coupon will be stamped and returned<br />
to you in the mail. You must remember to bring the coupon<br />
to every ses<strong>si</strong>on your course meets. It will serve as your<br />
admis<strong>si</strong>on card.<br />
If a green “ENTERED” is stamped over a particular<br />
course, seminar or trip you have been admitted. If a red<br />
“COURSE FULL-WAIT LIST”, “SORRY, TRIP FULL”<br />
or “SORRY, SEMINAR FULL” are stamped over a particular<br />
course, seminar, or trip you will not be admitted<br />
and your name will be put on a wait list.<br />
Refunds will be issued in approximately <strong>si</strong>xweeks.<br />
Retirees who are on wait lists will be notified <strong>of</strong>course<br />
openings by the Borough Section Coordinator(s) according<br />
to date received.<br />
8. Queens and Manhattan retirees: UFT ID cards will be<br />
mailed with registration confirmation. You must <strong>si</strong>gn these<br />
ID cards and present them to enter the building.<br />

TDA WORKSHOPS<br />
Since 1988, retirees have had the right to defer distribution<br />
<strong>of</strong> their Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA)<br />
money when they retire. Those retirees who have annuitized<br />
their TDA and are collecting a second check<br />
are not eligible to make investment changes until the<br />
Spring.<br />
To help you understand the choices you may make,<br />
we are <strong>of</strong>fering the workshops listed below. All meetings<br />
are 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. except New Jersey<br />
which is 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. There is no fee for TDA<br />
