Stop by the <strong>CHAP</strong> booth (#109 in theexhibit hall) to register for the meeting and dessert.Tracks To HelpIn an effort to help homeschool families, <strong>CHAP</strong> has formulated severaltracks in the workshop schedule which focus on special areas:The Getting Started Track is especially geared toward newhomeschoolers even though some of the topics may be of interest toexperienced homeschoolers, too. In this track you can learn abouthow to comply with Pennsylvania’s homeschool law, keeping lessonplans that help you, learning styles so you can help your child learn,teaching reading, and how to homeschool with toddlers under foot.The <strong>Homeschool</strong>ing Thru Graduation Track is designed to helpguide homeschool parents right up to the child’s graduation. Parentsshould find the variety of topics very helpful.For <strong>Homeschool</strong> Leaders, there is the yearly Support Group Leader’sTown Hall Meeting where leaders can share ideas. We ask thatsupport group leaders stop at the <strong>CHAP</strong> booth (#109) to pre-registerfor this meeting, as light refreshments will be served. Following theTown Hall Meeting, there is a workshop session geared toward theneeds of homeschool leaders.Lunch in the CafeteriaDon’t forget! The cafeteria is now in the Equine Barn.Vendor DrawingsSeveral vendors have agreed to do prize drawings at their booths. Ifyou sign up for one of these, you will hear an announcement at somepoint during the convention, but only when there are no workshopsin progress. Vendors set their own drawing time and bring a paper tothe speaker booth with the name of their booth and the winner of theprize. The speaker booth volunteer will announce the winner as soonas it is possible.Exposing A Trojan HorseThe National Alliance of <strong>Christian</strong> HomeEducation Leadership is announcing therelease of the DVD Exposing a TrojanHorse, which is an exposé of governmentfunded,public-school-at-home programsrecruiting home educators in many states.Encouraged by the overwhelming supportof those Alliance members in attendanceat the conference in Glorieta, New Mexico, the Alliance board authorizedthe production of this DVD.As you know, public-school-at-home and government-funded programsfor homeschoolers often target home educators to try to “bringthem back” into the government system. The DVD explores theimplications of participation in government-funded homeschool programsand their impact on both families’ lives and the homeschoolmovement in general. Exposing a Trojan Horse presents familieswith thought provoking interviews with <strong>Christian</strong> home educators.This 30-minute documentary can be used at support group leadershiptraining events, support group meetings, and with individualfamilies.Copies are on sale for $10.00 at the <strong>CHAP</strong> booth or may beordered through our website: www.<strong>CHAP</strong>online.com.
