BEST NEW PRACTITIONER AWARDThe "Ian Riebeling" Memorial MedalThis Medal was struck in honour of Ian Riebeling, a forensic documentexaminer with Forensic Science South Australia in Adelaide. Ian passedaway suddenly in February of 2001 and was an active member of theSociety (including President of the South Australian Branch).The medal is given to the best new practitioner whopresents either a poster or paper at each ANZFSSInternational Symposium every two years. To be eligiblefor the medal, the practitioner must have begun theircareer in the two years prior to the symposium.
