PR450-451-11Mini ExcavatorNorfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority is accepting bids on a new and unusedmini excavator. The specifications are based on CAT 301.8C mini excavator orequivalent. This is NOT a brand name specification. When a brand name is used itshall be construed solely for the purpose of indicating the standards of quality,performance, or use desired. Any bid containing a brand that is not of equal quality,performance or use specified must be presented as an alternative and not as an equal.Failure to do so shall be sufficient reason to disregard the bid.I. General Specifications:The mini excavator, as delivered, shall include all of the manufacturer’s standardequipment for the model offered in addition to the items required in the specificationsbelow. The equipment shall be designed and built in compliance with all applicablelocal, Virginia State and federal regulations. The offerors’ name shall not appear on theunit or its attachments.A. Standard equipment must include but is not limited to the following:1. A fully enclosed (solid) cab with a mounted work light, factory installedheating, sliding side window and an onboard lockable storage box, mobilephone holder with 12 volt power point and a thick rubber floor mat. Dashgauges including: fuel, engine coolant temperature, hour meter, engine oilpressure, air cleaner indicator, alternator indicator gauge, glow plugindicator and service interval indicator.2. A suspended seat made of cloth or vinyl complete with a seat belt andadjustable wrist rests.3. Be less than 48 inches wide and shall include hydraulic expandablerubber tracks.4. Hydraulic cylinder guard on boom5. Functional 180 degree Dozier Blade with float function6. Low maintenance ink pin points and hydraulic oil cooler

7. Travel alarm, travel pedals and two travel speeds8. Automatic engine idle, automatic swing parking brake and alternator9. Auxiliary hydraulic circuit valve on controls and way lines10. Auxiliary line to quick coupler and maintenance free battery11. One 14” digging bucket with teeth, with quick coupler.12. One 10” digging bucket with teeth, with quick coupler.II. Special Terms and Conditions:A. Manuals:Offeror shall list standard manuals included with the equipment. Cost shallinclude standard manuals.B. Training:Cost shall include training. Training shall be conducted by an instructor proficientin the operation of the equipment.C. Parts and Service:Offerors shall include a list of parts and service sites within 25 miles of NRHA.D. Warranties:Offeror shall include one copy of the standard warranty for the equipment.E. Pricing and Delivery:Bid price shall include delivery, overhead, training, all standard equipment andmanuals.F.
