DEFINITIONSBeginner ring: is for genuine beginner riders only. For riders up to 17 years old only. Riders competing in this ringcannot compete in any other ring. Lead line classes are for riders not capable of riding unassisted. Unled classes arefor those riders who are true beginners to showing <strong>and</strong> are just capable of riding off the lead. Riders in the beginnersring cannot change rings eg, unled to led throughout the day.Debut classes: Restricted to horses that have never competed at any hack or agricultural show. To be ridden in asnaffle bit only.Maiden classes: Restricted to horses that have not won a hack class at any hack or agricultural show. To be ridden ina snaffle bit only.Novice Hack/Novice Rider classes: Restricted to horse/rider that have not won a novice or open championship atany hack or agricultural show.Show Hunter classes: <strong>Horse</strong>s can compete in either the hack or show hunter classes, not both. Show Hunters shouldhave more bone <strong>and</strong> substance <strong>and</strong> be suitable for carrying the rider across country.Pleasure: To be ridden in a snaffle bit, no whips, no drop noseb<strong>and</strong>s or martingalesConsolation: Open to horses that haven’t won a ribbon on the day (no entry fee)<strong>Pony</strong> classes: 14hh <strong>and</strong> under unless specified.Galloway classes: over 14hh, not exceeding (N/E) 15hh unless specified.Hack classes: over 15hh unless specified.RULES & REGULATIONS:1. This event is being run under PCAQ rules2. Anyone deemed harassing a judge/steward will be disqualified for the day <strong>and</strong> will forfeit all awards forremainder of the day.3. Any competitor found competing in a class for which they are not eligible may be disqualified from any furthercompetition on the day.4. <strong>Redl<strong>and</strong>s</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Pony</strong> reserves the right to reduce or cancel any prizes or classes through lack ofcompetition.5. The judge’s decision is final. Protests are to be made in writing accompanied by $50.00 fee to the organisingcommittee within 30mins of the event. The deposit will be forfeited unless the protest is upheld.6. <strong>Redl<strong>and</strong>s</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Pony</strong> reserves the right to alter the program without prior notice. If numbers permit heightclasses may be split.7. All junior riders under the age of 17 years must wear approved Australian St<strong>and</strong>ards helmets, short boots <strong>and</strong>jodhpurs.8. No Dogs or Stallions are permitted on the grounds.9. Ring 4 competitors are not eligible to compete in other rings <strong>and</strong> vice versa.10. All riders must wear a safety approved helmet.11. Show Hunters must choose to ride in either Open Hack or Open Show Hunter classes only.12. <strong>Pony</strong> riders must be 17 years <strong>and</strong> under.13. Parking directions must be adhered to.14. Riders competing in the beginner rings may wear their club’s summer uniforms <strong>and</strong> saddlecloths.15. Strictly no refunds on class entry tickets.2
