The children are alllooking extremely smart <strong>and</strong> ready to learn in theirblack shoes <strong>and</strong> full uniform.StaffingWe would like to welcome back Miss White who isworking in our Foundation Unit <strong>and</strong> look forward to anexciting year.Last term we said goodbye to Mrs Reader, who workedin the Foundation Unit, we thank her for all her helpwhilst here <strong>and</strong> wish her all the best for the future.Dinner & Milk MoneyDinner money is now £2.00 per day/£10.00 per week.Please can all payments be sent in a sealed envelopestating the child’s name, class <strong>and</strong> enclosed amount.All cheques to be made payable to Herts CountyCouncil (HCC)Dinners every day for 1 st half term - £38.00/2 nd halfterm £40.00 (£78.00). Friday specials dinners for 1 sthalf term - £16.00/ 2 nd half term - £12.00 (£28.00).If you wish your child (Foundation/KS1 only) to havemilk this term, you may still order it, please complete amilk form along with payment (£13.14) if applicable <strong>and</strong>return it as soon as possible.UniformThe uniform shop is open every Monday after schoolif you wish to purchase any items. Forms are availableat the office, please leave completed forms withpayment <strong>and</strong> you will be contacted when your order isready.Please ensure that all items are clearly labelled withyour child’s name.Charity DonationsYou will be pleased to know that from <strong>Septembe</strong>r ourchosen school charity will now be ‘DENS – ActionAgainst Homelessness’. DENS started in 1998 as atemporary winter night shelter supporting homelesspeople in <strong>and</strong> around the Dacorum area ofHertfordshire. DENS now operate 6 main services:Dacorum Foodbank, DENS Day Centre, a permanentNight Shelter, Move-On Accommodation, DacorumRent Aid, <strong>and</strong> DENS Retail.Data Collection RecordsOver the next few weeks we will be sending out thepupil data collection sheets which include emergency<strong>and</strong> medical information. Please take time to readthrough it <strong>and</strong> amend/add details as necessary <strong>and</strong>return it to school. It is very important that we alwayshave current <strong>and</strong> up-to-date information as incorrectdetails can delay in an emergency. Thank you for yourco-operation in this matter.Free <strong>School</strong> MealsWe know that circumstances do change, therefore ifyou think that you may be eligible for free schoolmeals, please call the team on 0300 1234048. Refreshments <strong>and</strong> a crècheare provided. To book a place, please call07512709556.Toy Library/Drop in SessionsPlease feel free to drop in <strong>and</strong> join the Toy Library, youcan hire some fabulous toys <strong>and</strong> equipment from aslittle as 30p per week/yearly membership from £3.00.This is geared for children from birth to 5 years. Thank you for your support.FROGSFROGS is our wonderful group of parent helpers whowork hard to provide exciting opportunities for yourchildren i.e. disco’s, Christmas/Summer Fairs <strong>and</strong> lotsof other fund raising events. They would appreciateany offers of help you may be able to provide no matterhow small. Some of their fundraising has recentlybeen used to provide the lovely picnic benches that thechildren thoroughly enjoy dining alfresco <strong>and</strong> chattingwith friends at.
