<strong>Dear</strong> 50 th <strong>Reunion</strong> <strong>Classmate</strong>,<strong>We</strong> <strong>are</strong> <strong>delighted</strong> <strong>that</strong> <strong>you</strong> <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> attending the Class of 1962 <strong>Reunion</strong>. All registration materials(including football tickets) <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> available for pick-up at the first reunion weekend event <strong>you</strong> havesigned up to attend.If <strong>you</strong> have signed up to attend the Pontoon Boat Tours, complimentary parking <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> available in theEdgewater Hotel’s parking ramp. Once <strong>you</strong> have parked, take the elevator to Level 7 which is theentrance to the pier. You <strong>will</strong> not need to register <strong>you</strong>r vehicle at the front desk upon arrival.For those who have signed up for the Chazen Museum Tour, meet in the main lobby and <strong>you</strong>r docents<strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> there to greet <strong>you</strong>.The Pre-<strong>Reunion</strong> Reception at the Fluno Center <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong>gin at 5:00pm. Parking is available underneaththe Fluno Center, accessible from Frances Street. The reception itself <strong>will</strong> take place in the Study Pub onthe 8 th floor.The Day of Learning program <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong>gin at 9:00 a.m., with check-in <strong>be</strong>ginning at 8:30 a.m. If <strong>you</strong> havesigned up to use the shuttle*, the buses <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong>gin running at 8:30 a.m. to transport <strong>you</strong> from <strong>you</strong>r hotelto the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery. You <strong>will</strong> receive a separate Day of Learning schedule uponchecking in for the day. Any pre-purchased parking passes <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> included in <strong>you</strong>r registration materials.If the Day of Learning is the first reunion event <strong>you</strong> <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> attending, <strong>you</strong> may temporarily park at themain entrance of Discovery to check-in and <strong>will</strong> then need to move <strong>you</strong>r vehicle to Lot 17.The Campus Bus Tour <strong>will</strong> start with a pre-tour information session (2:00-2:30 p.m.) in the Forum ofthe Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery. The actual bus tour <strong>will</strong> depart from the N. Orchard entrancepromptly at 2:30 p.m. Following the tour, the buses <strong>will</strong> first return to the Wisconsin Institutes forDiscovery. If <strong>you</strong> have signed up for shuttle* transportation, the buses <strong>will</strong> continue on to returnparticipants to the various hotels.Integrated Li<strong>be</strong>ral Studies (ILS) <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> hosting a reception <strong>be</strong>ginning at 3:30 p.m. at MeiklejohnHouse, 228 N. Charter Street. <strong>We</strong> encourage all ILS graduates to attend this special event.Shuttles* <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong>gin running at 5:30 p.m. for transportation to the Memorial Union for the Half CenturyReception in Tripp Commons and Dinner in Great Hall. Shuttles <strong>will</strong> run continuously until 6:30 p.m.The shuttles <strong>will</strong> start promptly following the dinner and <strong>will</strong> continue running for an hour after the dinnerconcludes.On Saturday, <strong>be</strong>fore the Utah State game, WAA President and CEO Paula Bonner MS’78 <strong>will</strong> host aGroundbreaking event at the site of Alumni Park. Please join us, as <strong>you</strong>r gift helped make the parkpossible. <strong>We</strong>’ll gather at noon for food and <strong>be</strong>verage on the Kellner Terrace by the Alumni House. Thenwe'll have a chance to see the lakeshore in a new way — on the Wisconsin Dells Ducks. The amphibioustrucks <strong>will</strong> take attendees on a shoreline cruise.From 2:30-4:00 p.m., all Women of ’62 <strong>are</strong> invited to gather at Union South in the Industry Room onthe 3 rd floor. UW Professor Claudia Card ’62, fellow women mem<strong>be</strong>rs of the ’62 <strong>Reunion</strong> Committee <strong>will</strong><strong>be</strong> hosting this gathering to explore the changes we’ve experienced as the culture has moved from theMad Men fifties, the hippie sixties, the women’s lib seventies, to the increasingly women-empoweredeighties, and into 2012. The Class of 1962 Tailgate <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong>gin at 4:00 p.m. on the 3 rd floor Pavilion of Union South. Wisconsinstyletailgate f<strong>are</strong> and a cash bar <strong>will</strong> <strong>be</strong> available.
