2.1.2 Definition of the Systems ViewThe SV is a set of graphical and textual products that describes systems andinterconnections providing for, or supporting, DoD functions. DoD functions include bothwarfighting and business functions. The SV associates system resources to the OV. Thesesystem resources support the operational activities and facilitate the exchange of informationamong operational nodes.2.1.3 Definition of the Technical Standards ViewThe TV is the minimal set of rules governing the arrangement, interaction, andinterdependence of system parts or elements. Its purpose is to ensure that a system satisfies aspecified set of operational requirements. The TV provides the technical systems implementationguidelines upon which engineering specifications are based, common building blocks areestablished, and product lines are developed. The TV includes a collection of the technicalstandards, implementation conventions, standards options, rules, and criteria organized intoprofile(s) that govern systems and system elements for a given architecture.2.1.4 Definition of the All-ViewsThere are some overarching aspects of an architecture that relate to all three views. These overarching aspects are captured in the All-Views (AV) products. The AV productsprovide information pertinent to the entire architecture but do not represent a distinct view of thearchitecture. AV products set the scope and context of the architecture. The scope includes thesubject area and time frame for the architecture. The setting in which the architecture existscomprises the interrelated conditions that compose the context for the architecture. Theseconditions include doctrine; tactics, techniques, and procedures; relevant goals and visionstatements; concepts of operations (CONOPS); scenarios; and environmental conditions.2-2
