The following legend is used in the figure:• A light gray cell (•) indicates the product is required in order to have anintegrated architecture.• A dark gray cell (•) indicates the identified product is specified in policy.• A solid black circle (•) indicates the product is highly applicable to the indicateduse (i.e., the product should be developed when the architecture is intended tosupport the indicated use).• A white circle with a center black dot (8) indicates that the product is often orpartially applicable (i.e., consideration should be given to developing thedesignated product when the architecture is intended to support the indicated use).• A blank cell indicates that the product is usually not applicable (i.e., there isusually no need to develop the designated product when the architecture isintended to support the indicated use).The list of uses is not exhaustive; instead, it is intended to provide initial insight into theuse of the various architecture products in supporting <strong>DoD</strong> processes. Future versions of the<strong>Framework</strong> are expected to expand the uses described. By listing a minimum set of productsrequired for an integrated architecture as prescribed in <strong>DoD</strong> Directives and Instructions,consistency of products and their constituent architecture data elements across architectures isassured.2-5
