Terms and ConditionsPAYMENT OF TUITION FEES: Tuition fees must be paid in full before coursecommencement. Part payment is not accepted. TAFE NSW will not be responsiblefor any money paid directly to an agent. Tuition fees cover the charges fortuition and administration.OTHER COSTS: You should allow up to AUD18,000 per year for livingexpenses, transport, accommodation and AUD500 for stationery, textbooksand excursions.PROCESSING FEE (non refundable): Student visa applicants must pay anon-refundable processing fee of AUD150. The fee for other applicantsis AUD85.OVERSEAS STUDENT HEALTH COVER (OSHC): All International Students arerequired to pay Overseas Student Health Cover for themselves and all membersof their family unit included in their application. This fee is not a TAFE NSW fee.It is your responsibility to read and check the conditions of this cover.ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance is a requirement for all students. Forstudent visa holders, the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship(DIAC) must be notified if you cannot achieve 80% attendance for any 20week period in your program of study. DIAC must also be notified if progressis unsatisfactory.LEAVE: All leave must be approved in advance and requests must be made ona leave application form. If you are sick, you must bring a doctor’s certificatefrom a registered medical practitioner as soon as you return. Holiday leave willbe approved only after 15 weeks of study. As per DIAC policy, holiday leave isnot granted to students in the high school preparation course.DISCLAIMER: TAFE NSW reserves the right to review prices and class timeswithout notice. Students who defer enrolment will be charged the fees applyingto their course at the time they begin study. TAFE NSW reserves the right tocancel an advertised course if enrolments are insufficient.TRANSFER OF FEES: If you complete your full English program of study (thefull program and its maximum length of study are stated on your eCoE) earlierthan expected, and you are enrolled in a NSW government high school orTAFE NSW vocational course, the remainder of your paid fees (as at the endof the English Centre session in which you are enrolled at the time of transfer)can be transferred to that TAFE course or to the high school. No fees will betransferred to other institutions or persons. DIAC will be notified of any changeto your original enrolment.DECLARATIONREFUND PROCEDURESGeneral policy: There are no refunds on or after the commencement date ofa course of study. Before the commencement date of a course of study, thefollowing applies:Student visa refused: 100%Course cancelled by TAFE: 100%If student notifies withdrawal in writing:- More than four weeks (28 days) before commencement dateof course of study: 90%- Four weeks or less before commencement dateof course of study: 80%- On or after commencement date of course of study: No refundAll applications for refunds must be made in writing and must contain certifiedcopies of any supporting documentation. If you provide TAFE NSW with falseor misleading information or documents, or breach your visa conditions, norefund will be made. Application fee, accommodation placement, guardianshipand airport reception fees are not refundable. There is no refund for publicholidays.Refunds will be paid within four weeks after we receive a written refundapplication. If a course is cancelled by TAFE NSW, refunds will be paid withintwo weeks. You will receive a written explanation of how the refund has beencalculated.REFUND ARRANGEMENTS: No refund will be paid to a third party unless youindicate below the name and address of the person to whom any refunds shouldbe paid.
