<strong>Watersports</strong> <strong>Instructor</strong> <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Description</strong><strong>Job</strong> Title: <strong>Watersports</strong> <strong>Instructor</strong>Department: Neilson ActiveLocation: OverseasReports to: Beach Supervisor<strong>Job</strong> Role SummaryTo deliver a watersports and activity programme for both children and adult guests both on and offthe water.Key Responsibilities and TasksPresent a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain an excellent standard ofcustomer service.Deliver watersports instruction following the RYA syllabus and Neilson programme.Assist in the preparation, organisation, delivery and the running of activities for children and adultguests both on an off the water.Actively participate in organising and running activity clubs for children.Ensure safety cover is of the highest standard from both the beach and safety boats.Take personal responsibility for the maintenance, repair and security of Neilson equipment andthe satisfactory appearance of Neilson sites to ensure the meeting of guest expectations.Work as part of a team to set up, pack up, and proactively provide assistance to all guests usingthe equipment on the beach each day.To practically help with the set up of the beach and hotel at the start of the season and the packdown of the resort at the end of the season.Help organize and host social events, deliver briefings and generally interact with guests at alltimes.Deliver personable, informative and efficient transfers for the guests both to and from resort.Be prepared to move between different resorts according to operational needs of the business tofulfill your contractual end date.Be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other duties, within reason, as requested byyour manager according to training you have been given.


Personal SpecificationQualifications and Experience requiredRoyal Yachting Association (RYA) Windsurf or Dinghy <strong>Instructor</strong> qualification.First Aid certificate valid for the duration of the contract.Educated to GCSE standard.Experience of working in a watersports environment.Previous customer service experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities requiredAbility to deliver fun, engaging, safe and informative Sailing or Windsurfing sessions.Skilled in safety and on water rescue techniques.Knowledge of the RYA syllabus.Knowledge of current Sailing/Windsurfing industry.Ability to effectively communicate with guests of all ages, management, and other staff.Ability to work well within a team and maintain effective working relationships.Able to work on own initiative and follow verbal and written instructions.PresentationClean and tidy appearance.Personal QualitiesApproachable, welcoming, friendly, and enthusiastic.Self-motivated.Flexible.Punctual.
