Mr. McLaughlin was recently President of theLafayette College Alumni Association and is a member of the college’s LeadershipCouncil.From 1981 to 1991 Mr. McLaughlin served in both the House and Senate of theConnecticut General Assembly. Along with a tax policy focus, he was the primarysponsor of legislation for the preservation of open space and the “right to die.” In1985, the Hartford Courant named him one of Connecticut’s “10 Best Legislators.” In1990, he ran unsuccessfully for Congress in the 5th Congressional District of CT.Mr. McLaughlin received his Bachelor’s degree in History from Lafayette College andhis Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School.FamilyOfficeAssociation.com
