About The Ilio Tibial Band (ITB) is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches at the top of both the Iliac and the Tensor. It then inserts into the outer
surface of the Tibia. As the ITB passes over the lateral epicondyle of the Femur it is prone to friction. For people who run regularly, the friction can
create a painful condition where this sensitive area of the ITB causes pain if palpated.
Treatment Work with the applicator on the pain points with very small circular movements.
