ReceptionTo provide the main 8am – 5pm reception duties and ensure cover isavailable when necessary.To operate the <strong>Academy</strong>’s main telephone system, including taking anddelivering messages, transferring calls (as appropriate) and contactingparents or other agencies as directed.To use the electronic entry system for <strong>Academy</strong> gates, enabling accessfor parents, students and visitors to the <strong>Academy</strong> premises.To keep an up to date log of visitors, telephone calls and relevant<strong>Academy</strong> business.To ensure visitors are provided with visitors badge and provided withrelevant access/ refreshments etcStudent AdmissionsTo maintain the computerised details of applications to the academyTo be pro-active in ensuring that all admissions functions are fulfilledlegally and in a timely fashionTo be the first point of contact for applicantsTo process applications, ensuring accurate recording of dataTo organise and administer the interview processTo ensure that accurate information is available for all concerned,including agencies external to the <strong>Academy</strong>Staff and student databasesTo maintain accurate records of both staff and students, using the school’scomputerised system and paper-based recordsTo produce statistical returns when necessary, ensuring the accuracy andtimely production of these, including those to external agenciesOffice AdministrationTo deal with emergencies, as appropriate, deciding on the best course ofaction and if medical intervention is required referring the matter to seniormanagers or nominated first aider.To manage attendance systems and returns.To distribute incoming correspondence to the appropriate peopleTo monitor the administrative email account and responding to orforwarding messages as appropriateTo provide administrative support to teaching staff in the <strong>Academy</strong>,including word processing and parental contact, as appropriateTo organise the ordering and stock control of administrative and officesuppliesTo carry out other administrative duties as instructed by the Office Manager
