Pat Coldrick 

A Maestro of the Classical Guitar 

Experience Pat Coldrick live - a 

unique opportunity to enjoy his 

varied repertoire and own material, 

in an informal, candle lit, relaxed atmosphere. 

Born in Navan and now 

living in Howth, Pat Coldrick has 

been playing and studying classical 

guitar since he was 12 years old. 

Initially self taught, Pat went onto 

study music at the College of Music 

in Dublin and also had the opportunity 

to study under world renowned 

guitarists David Russell and Gabriel 

Esterellas. A guitarist with a classical 

and rock background, he writes and 

performs works for the guitar with 

a fresh, new and exciting approach. 

His musical career includes playing 

guitar with hugely popular Irish 

band The Memories in the 1980s. 

Through his sessions and classical 

work, he has achieved some of 

the highest honours in Feis Ceoil 

Awards and has made a number of 

appearances on national TV shows 

on RTE and TV3 and guested on a 

number of radio interviews and live 

performances on RTE Radio 1 and 

Lyric FM. He has also been invited 

to perform at festivals in the United 

States and Austria. Experiencing Pat 

Coldrick live, offers a unique opportunity 

to enjoy his varied repertoire 

and own material, in an informal, 

candle lit, relaxed atmosphere.

ghost dance, gasp as he balances 

five glasses of water on his face, and 

smile as children help him step out 

of his older brothers shadow. Every 

child will get to perform a trick and 

receive a treat! For all children aged 

4 to 12. Jackula is a story of personal 

triumph and being true to ones 

self. In the end Jackula puts his anger 

at his brother’s fame aside and 

enjoys the new identity that he has 

formed for himself. The story is woven 

together with magic, juggling

of One-Acts 

The Moat Club has a 

strong record in the 

area of one-act plays, 

having qualified many 

times for the prestigious 

All-Ireland finals, 

and winning it outright 

most recently in 1999 with 

Bench at the Edge by Luigi Jannuszi. 

It is hoped to enter a one-act play on 

the competitive circuit this autumn, 

having taken a break last year. 

These dates allow for the local audience 

to give its seal of approval to 

the competing play before it embarks 

on a journey around Ireland 

during which it must be performed 

at up to five drama festivals, hopefully 

gaining enough points to make 

the final. A companion piece or two 

will add to a delightful evening of 

short plays.

The Hucklebuck, which was the biggest

month in Hot Press (2001). Brendan

a heart-warming evening of carols 

and Christmas favourites sung by 

the Local Authorities Choir, and 

joined by guest singers Ciaran 

O’Leary (tenor) and Norah King 

(soprano). And we are delighted 

to welcome back the Garda Band 

who were such a big hit last year. 

Christmas spirit will be in 

abundance and to add to the 

warm, fuzzy feeling, there’ll be 

mulled wine and mince pies.

on the night before Christmas. 

Polly, who is getting her magic house 

ready for Santa, has asked for a hippopotamus 

for Christmas! When 

Santa arrives the fun and magic really 

begin. Will Santa get down the 

chimney with a hippopotamus or 

does he get stuck? Will Polly and all
