This is the main drive mechanism<br />

in these are perfect for use in Robots! Overall size about<br />

Miniature Precision Optics/Laser<br />
These are the latest type of head<br />
assemblies from CD drives. They<br />
contain 2 miniature prisms glued together<br />
to form a cube, a miniature<br />
magnifying lens in holder, several<br />
miniature strong magnets, an IR laser diode, moving<br />
coils, and various other parts. The assemblies they came<br />
from were new, but we are selling these “AS IS”. We<br />
have no specs or data, but we do know that the optical<br />
pieces were glued in and can be pryed off with a small<br />
screwdriver once the covering has been removed by taking<br />
the screws out. Approximate size is 2.5” x 1.1” x .75”<br />
(excluding cable). Sold as is only–no returns.<br />

Laptop computer. The part # is<br />
G8UAP made by NEC. It consists<br />
of a 2 bubble opto device<br />
(one bubble is an IR LED the other is the IR sensor)<br />
and all associated circuitry, all on a 1 1/8” x 1/2” circuit<br />
board. These are brand new prime modules with<br />
all components and a flexible input cable. There are<br />
only 4 active leads: +, -, output, IR LED. We show you<br />
a diagram where these leads are, however we do not<br />
have the data sheet or any other info on how to use<br />
these. Looks like it would make a great "eye" for a<br />
Robot or make custom accessories for your IR compliant<br />

Laser Optic IR Lens<br />
We were told that these were<br />
made for an IR laser system<br />
rangefinder for the military. We<br />
don’t have any data or info except that we see a<br />
small glass lens on one end of a metal 0.32”Dia.<br />
holder with a 1/2”Dia. flange. At the other end is<br />
a 0.15” opening and what looks like an opaque<br />
glass lens inside. (We were able to pass IR energy<br />
through it.) Overall length of optic piece is<br />
0.59”. Metal body is black in color.<br />
