Seating arranged on a slope going up and away from the stage, in<br />

order <strong>to</strong> provide a clearer view from every seat.<br />

The allotted time in a venue’s daily schedule during which your show<br />

takes place, often including get-in and get-out.<br />

A room in a larger venue building or complex where your show<br />

takes place.<br />

A type of stage floor that absorbs shocks, giving it a softer feel. It<br />

is a significant advantage <strong>to</strong> dance and physical theatre shows,<br />

serving <strong>to</strong> enhance movement and reduce injuries.<br />

A venue rental arrangement in which you pay a fixed fee and keep<br />

100% of the venue box office takings, minus any extras or ticket<br />

commission. You will probably have <strong>to</strong> pay a portion of this fee as a<br />

deposit when you first book the space and the rest before your first<br />

performance.<br />
